    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Yes, it's a fun trail. It's been a few years ago that I drove it. People liked watching the Powerlock in the rear of my 3B kick in on that big hill. Two of the Jeeps had Elockers F&R, I just had the Powerlock and the fourth guy had a stock CJ5 and he made it. Don't do the chute, One friend tried...

    SEMA 2015: Official Thread

It doesn't matter, there are jerks at the gas and diesel pumps. At least the Mitsu Fuso has the big filler neck so I can use the larger hose to fill it. Amazing how that larger hose fills the tank much faster. I don't like the little hose most stations have to fill the smaller diesel tanks, It...

4000 mile Utah adventure in Jeep LJ

Rusty762, you seem to be a responsable person. Years ago, we had to restrain my mother so she wouldn't throw rocks at the kids riding by on dirt bikes in the campground.

    On-board Air help!

Yes, you need the tank if you expect to run air tools off of the system, Most everybody that has a setup like yours has an air tank plumbed in. Another thought is what size of air line are you using to run the tools? The standard coily line is fine for filling a tire but for a tool, you need...

ROFarts Lost in Utah; The Story

True, some of the roads we used to run in the early '90s are closed now (Salt Creek and others) and others they are turning into highways, (Elephant Hill).

    Manifold Destiny

We used to warm up things on the engine in the old '62 Suburban all the time. About 20 years ago I decided to pull the heads off of the V6 in my 3B for refreshing. Found a can of soup aginst the fire wall. I'm sure I put it there, I just didn't remember when I put it there...

Trekboxx JKU cargo systems - taking orders and now on SALE!

You boys can fight it out. Years ago, my father cut a piece of 3/4" plywood to fit and supported it on six black iron pipes. The front 1/3 of it was removeable if the back seat was in the the Suburban. all of the coolers and food boxes fit under it as well as all the camping gear. It was a bit...

    Help me to NOT fail

Yep, it looks like a good time. Several years ago I did whittle a fork out of a pine branch. ( The Swiss Army Knife is alyays in my pocket). It did ride in my Jeep for years. People gave me some strange looks about it.

    Jeep Auxiliary Wiring Basics

I don't run many extra electrical things other than a radiator fan but I would run extra lights through relays. A friend managed to munch his front fender on his Jeep when his electric winch failed to turn off. Some people put another solenoid pair in to prevent things like this. I suppose...

    Abbey Country...

If you like Abbey, you might like a book by David Lavender, One Mans West, where he talks about growing up in the Paradox Valley and hearding cattle over to the Dugout Ranch as well, working in some of the mines in Southern CO. I liked Abbeys determining distances to a place by the number of...

LA, Denver, Alaska, Inuvik and back - 5 months with a Land Cruiser FZJ80 (Pictures!)

Looks like you had fun. If you hit the Moki Dugway, you should driven through Valley of the Gods. Sort of a mini Monument Valley. Elephant Hill is just sort of a fun day drive anymore but there are a few fun sections, most of the trail out to the confluence of the Green and Colorado rivers is a...

    Abbey Country...

Don't swing a shame stick at me. I've been going down there for over thirty years. A friend was down there in his Scout several years ago and thought he met up with Abbey in a a cafe in Moab. I sort of know the area. Yeah, read Abbeys books. At one time it was was required for all of the rangers...

    Lumpskie's 1989 Grand Wagoneer Build

What brand of oil are you using? I have found that there is a varience in pressure even though they say they are the same weight oils. A friend built race bikes and he only used Kendell. Great stuff but near impossible to find around here anymore. I tried Rotella in my van and motor hime, Both...

what do jeep guys like as a truck?

I've winched out or towed about anything out there on a trail. Some people want a Ford, others want a GM product some want a Dodge or a Toyota. Whatever, drive what you want. Ever see a '64 VW tow off a Scout out of a 4X4 road?

    Lumpskie's 1989 Grand Wagoneer Build

Really, I dont see a problem with those numbers. My old Volvo showed from 30 PSI at idle to 70 PSI on the road. I didn't mess with the pump so I'm thinking it might be a reason these motors run so long. If I went out and fired up either of my V6s, they would be at over 60 PSI at idle when cold...

    Colossal 2015 - B.C. Canada

Good work, I went up Mt. Elbert in 1976. We did the moderate route, up the bolder field. July 3rd, it snowed on us. the easy route is up the old 4X4 road to the top.
