    Help me to NOT fail

Sometimes, it's just the simple things. We were out a few weeks ago. We had about anything a person would want between four vehicles but only one flyswater. It got used a lot. I know I was up at 03:00 smacking the little bastids that wanted to tapdance on my face. Another thought as far as fire...

In the box it has all of the lubes and coolant, jacks and stuff that might be needed as well as a full set of sae and metric wrenches and sockets, treestraps, snatch blocks, Etc. My Jeep FC170 (Forward Control) "Patina Rod" project

Slacker, get to work and finish that thing. Quit tapping away on your computer and get out there and git it done. Really, you are doing something unique. I've always wanted a FC so I'm a bit jelous. A Mitso Fuso FG is as close as I have come to a FC and I have the parts out back to put another...

    Sans Spare Tire

Just my opinion. Don't even think about traveling without a spare. A friend flattened both right side tires on his LC. in Moab. By luck, a friend had two spares for his Chevy PU. that fit. I've had to change four tires on my Mitsu Fusu camper due to flats or blowouts, not a lot of fun when it's...

    Talladega National Forest- 01/29/11

Its not too hard to figure out, It's where the power lines run into Moab. Mostly service roads and some very erodded areas that are fun. People thought it would be a fun zip line down to the river, if you didn't mind hooking on to about 74,000 volts. The turnoff is about a mile East of Dewey...

Boise to Baja in a 60 Series Land Cruiser

Most of the times I've been to Mexico, the people appreciate your effort to speak Spanish, If nothing else, they get a good laugh from your attempt. My neighbor lady speaks five languages. In some places she is known as "La Professora" Yeah, a retired teacher. Her Spanish is better than most of...

Warming up at 13,207 feet for the trip to -282 feet

Nice, I always reccomend 128 when people visit Moab. A very scenic drive. I don't have a dog but I have a leash hanging in the closet in my camper...

    Mitsu Fuso Camper examples

I considered the chain/strap fix but given some clearence issues from the storage box and holding tanks and without something to hook to on the side of the road I was on, the hammer way worked albeit some damage to my hand from the bottom of the storage box. I'm just happy the rock didn't fly...

    Mitsu Fuso Camper examples

I've driven My MF since 1998 with duals, never any problems anywhere until last Monday, a rock. That SOB was probably about five pounds. It probably took an hour to break it up with a hammer and pry it out. I would have been better off to just remove the outer wheel.

Northern Montana and the Canadian Rockies, August 2015

Nice pictures and a good report so far. National park passes are good things to have if you are going to spend any time in them. I used to work in Kremmling and drive across Trail Ridge Road twice a week. Um, $6.00 a trip or $64.00 for the whole year? It also worked at Lake Powell. I made so...

    My Journey

It's interesting what you said about relating with animals better than people. Some people I know, I would rather hang out their dog for an extended time. Continue your adventure.

Alaska trip with detailed money, mapping, and mosquito counts.

Of the three bikes that started out, only one was ridden back to OR. The 185 Suziki actually started the trip here in CO. Froze up in Tok and sold for what Rob had in it. Pete had his hauled home in the back of a pickup. Mark rode the road both directions. Somewhere there are good pictures of...

Alaska trip with detailed money, mapping, and mosquito counts.

No recent "skeeter counts? Some friends rode motorcycles up there in 1976. They had great fun around camp wearing down coats and gloves in the summer, with a mosquito net over their head to avoid them little bastids.

    Boulder, Bryce, Grand Staircase

I did several trips with my father, he would alternate between me or my brother for fishing trips. We had the family trips my mother would be along, she complained a bit about them but I think she did enjoy the trips as long as dad 1/2 of the cooking and clean up. That 'ol 62 Suburban was on...
