Expeditions 7: Two Years Around the World on all Seven Continents.

Expeditions 7: Two Years Around the World on all Seven Continents.

You and the vehicles will be up for a challenge with the Canning Stock Route at that time of year. Average temps for those months: 100 Deg F (38 Deg C) and highest rainfall time of year 1.5 to 6 in (37 to 150 mm, highest during January).\ Should be a challenging route! Out of interest, have...

Expeditions 7: Two Years Around the World on all Seven Continents.

Well done with the updates so far and thanks for sharing. Two years is a long time when you are sitting at home reading about the future adventure on your screen but behind the wheel that time will go by fast. I've got two questions: 1-Any more info on the vehicles besides what was posted on...

    The replacement - 2004 HDJ100R Landcruiser

A black vehicle in Australia is very hot to touch but with today's AC technology, the interior temps are fine. The only other gripe is that it's impossible to keep clean! Yes, the holes are into a sheet metal cross member not the roof. Pretty straight forward really, key is to get yourself a...

    The replacement - 2004 HDJ100R Landcruiser

Outback Roof Console - Installation dramas I originally had this posted over on a Aussie forum (LCOOL.org = LandCruiser Owners On Line) for some help but may be useful for 100 series owners here considering a roof console. Just wondering if anyone else has had issues fitting an Outback Roof...

    The replacement - 2004 HDJ100R Landcruiser

The roof console does require you to drill four small holes in the sheet metal for secure fastening. No big deal really. The most difficult part was sorting out the wiring... A few photos of the console in place with iCom 440 Pro radio.

    The replacement - 2004 HDJ100R Landcruiser

Yeah, the manuals from 2004 or newer are very difficult to find in good condition. I also wanted one with less than 150 000 Km on it thus the long distance hunt. I was wondering that. This one does not have the velcro but I've used a zip tie in the vent to keep it in place. Cheers, P

    The replacement - 2004 HDJ100R Landcruiser

Don't worry it's not factory Toyota! It's called a dash mat and as Colin pointed out it's to prevent the dash from cracking due to the harsh sun. Very common in this part of the world. Besides the look the only down side is that when you are on a very steep climb and it comes flying off the...

Vehicle has been sold The landcruiser has been sold. Nearly shed a tear as it drove away. The good news is that there are plans for it to go visit Cape York in July of this year. That means there is a chance I might see it up there and that makes me happy. :sombrero:
