    Maxxis Dirt Bike Tires

I run the Desert IT's on my XR400, but they aren't DOT so not legal if you are on the road. I've ridden thousands of miles in the deserts of Baja on them.

    OGIO MX 450 tool belt

Cool.. I've looked at these Ogio tool belts in the past, but never initiated a purchase. Sounds like you've definitely gotten you moneys worth out of it. It's good to know it's held up over the years. Do you ever worry about hurting yourself with this being attached to your waist if you...

Missing in Baja - Update Feb 10th. Located/All is well.

We're heading down on 2/21 for a week. I plan to travel some of the back country from Bola to Mulege and some back country day trips out of Mulege. I'll be keeping an eye out for him. One reason I don't head out without my inReach on and tracking..

    Post your tents

Thanks cgrigsby79, The mattress is pretty comfortable to me and this missus. She said it's the best sleep she's had in a tent. I can't compare it to the Eazi-Awn or any other tent. The material is pretty heavy on the tent itself. I did have to repair one of the pockets that the rain fly bar...

Wok Stand for Coleman dual fuel burner

I wonder if the burner stand for the Zodi Extreme would work for this? I'm going to have to try it. I'm not sure you can buy it separately though. I'm also not sure if it's the right kind of burner for you. http://zodi.com/hot-showers/extreme-sc

    Cabrito's 2002 Honda XR400R

Hey sorry for the late reply.. Thanks for the nice comments. Other than frequent valve adjustments, oil changes, and lousy gearing for highway/freeway travel I like the XR4 as a light adventure bike. The license plate holder is using a cheap plastic license plate cover and the mounting...

Any longtime riders quit for good?

Stumpalump, I hear you on the injury front. I'm 53 years old, and have some similar bikes... I've been riding since 1982. In January I crashed in Baja and Broke my arm, dislocated my shoulder, broke a finger, sprained my thumb and wrist, cut my head open, and ruptured my sinus... This was on...

    Helmet Bluetooth recommendations

Hard to say what the best "Value" is, but I second HenryJ. SMH10 has been solid for me for several years. The range, and the options for mounting, and accessories is great. The 10's are an older model and can be had for a decent price. The group communication is key in some situations.
