    Partner Stoves?

You're welcome! This mod seems, at first, maybe unnecessary but, assuming you're more than the boiling water type, you'll never own a stove again without them!

    Camp Shower Showdown

With a hot running engine (you may be able to get water up to shower temp just from the residual heat in a hot engine block without running the engine) pump fresh water through your Helton water heat exchanger via the ball valve couplings. You'll need some type of water pump to do this but any...

    Partner Stoves?

I don't see the single burner on their website; although they don't list the newish 22" double burner unit either. Maybe it is 1/2 of their 9" dual burner unit? http://www.partnersteel.com/

    Stove/fuel canister compatibility question

And the smaller Snow Peak canisters have a bit more gas in them by weight and also are a buck less per cylinder here in Reno. The SP canisters work perfectly with my Jet Boil.

    Partner Stoves?

I previously had an 18" but from a post on MUD from a guy that just went with the 22" it looks like more room for group cooking :). 5/16" steel flush style nut-serts with SS knurled adjusters. I added a little aqua seal to the bottom of the adjuster feet just in case things get slippery ;)...

    Partner Stoves?

Love our Partner Steel/Cook Partner stove...and you will too for a long, long time ;) I wanted a padded nylon cover/case for it to keep it a little nicer over all the miles of dirt and washboard my rig seems to take me over :coffeedrink: I looked high and low and behold Cabelas has a nicely...

    Snow Peak Addiction

I've tried lump and Kingsford in three different flavors and I just can't get the heat I need and want out my BBQ Box...I've used a few coals as well as a pile to the same lack of high heat/sear heat. Not all that impressed for what it cost! But compact it is!

    Panamint City Hike

IIRC when friends did that hike a couple years ago they mentioned hiking up through some fairly dense vegetation; the trail might disappear here and there...and there might be snow still there. We were in Pleasant and South Park canyon's the week before last and the snow line was at...

    Snow Peak Addiction

Not knocking the SP but here's what I use when toting my knives along for camping: http://www.broadwaypanhandler.com/broadway/product.asp?s_id=0&prod_name=Edge+Safes&pf_id=Lamson_Knifesafe&dept_id=2430 You can find them at any commercial kitchen supply store. But beware once you enter one of...

    Propane Hot Water Heater

I have the Helton Hot Water heat exchanger mounted on my LC and it works just fine; especially when its just me (but plenty capable to heat water for several showers easy enough). The big advantage with this one is its mounted under the hood; not interior space is used. The pump, hoses and...

SUWA takes Canyonlands ORV ban request to Washington

Compromise isn't a word in their dictionary; hypocrite is...but they ignore that one ;). Its all about balance and compromise...except for the likes of SUWA and a few others. And now they want to circumnavigate the process without local/states involvement... I find it interesting most if not...

    Snow Peak Addiction

I LOVE my GS-1000! Although most Snow Peak gear represents great design and engineering the GS-1000 is at their pinnacle IMO. I made an adapter so I can run it on bulk propane...kind of important when you're pulling up to 34,000 btus!

    2.0 vs. 2.5 Shocks

Well it sounds like you have already made up your mind but I would encourage you to get them with the remotes. Not only for additionally heat dissipation but also for extended PM intervals (more oil volume). If you don't have enough space for piggyback style you could always mount the remote...

    2.0 vs. 2.5 Shocks

For comparison: I am running Fox 2.0 with remotes (.625 shafts) on my ~4T rolling weight '99 LC for 3-years now. I tuned them myself and they have performed to my satisfaction (and beyond really). I have a tendency to want to push this rig harder/faster...with no shock fade even after hours...
