Recommend a head-lamp?(like the ones that go on your forehead)

I pre-ordered mine about 6-months before I got one of the first production units; I see from your photo/Surefire site, they've changed both barrels to knurled, added a coin slot for the battery cover and added an SOS mode. You won't be disappointed Scott...other than not getting one sooner ;-)

    Any other Vegans?

Thanks for your link to "Vegan Yum Yum"; I'll be trying those recipes soon! One of my favorite ways to enjoy an avocado is just with a little sea salt, freshly toasted and ground cumin and a spritz of lime. It is a great little side 'salad'!

    Any other Vegans?

Not that it matters since you "unsubscribed" but you've obviously misschosen your word ("dead"...whatever that means) or have never witnessed the red (non-dead??) color of wild game meat devoid of any more processing than what comes from the knife...fresh or thawed. I'll take a picture for you...

    Any other Vegans?

After growing up, like Pint did, in the middle of the country where meat was the center of the meals I, after moving from motorcycles to exclusively bicycles in the early 80's found I needed more efficient fuel and also a healthier lifestyle. No question about it: Ridding meat from my diet...

So if you had to purchase a trailer...

That was a good deal. I thought about it myself...and if I had another slot to my garage I would have pulled it back to Reno ;-). Its, IMO, the best deal out there right now...especially for $3500.

Recommend a head-lamp?(like the ones that go on your forehead)

I've put 16-months of use on my Surefire Saint Minimus for a variety of applications and I'd easily purchase it again without reservation; I absolutely love it. I've got a half dozen of the Petzl, BD, etc types and they're just not in the same league by a long shot. Certainly not the cheapest...

So if you had to purchase a trailer...

Moody had his Kamparoo listed for sale here about a month ago or so...but I don't see it listed. Might give him a PM to inquire about the status.

Help with Icom 208H thats frozen

Had the same issue with mine a couple years ago. It's a known issue with the mic switch on the 208H. Take it apart and, using contact cleaner & lube spray, spray the mic button switch.

    Dual Battery System Management Recommendations?

FWIW: My Powergate (dual rectifier) has been working perfectly since the day it was installed. Keeps my two Odysseys fully charged without issue. Super easy to bridge the batteries should I need to... Now if they would just get their new Mobiarc to me so I can check that off my list...:)...

Making a griddle. What material to use?

Using flat aluminum plate you could miter each corner at a 45* angle coming inward with the miter and then have a shop using a large brake bring each side up so you have a beveled edge...then have the little miter slits TIG'd...a relatively easy and affordable way to add a neat edge perimeter to...

Making a griddle. What material to use?

Kurt, I suggest, based upon my own experience with same, a hard milspec anodized treatment for your raw aluminum. It will be the same treatment as Calphalon uses on some of their pots and pans (including a Calphalon griddle I have owned for many years and use on a regular basis). We have a...

Making a griddle. What material to use?

Well you've gotten lots of good thoughts and I'll add mine :) Aluminum is really the best for heating quickly and spreading heat. Ditto for quick cool down. I would suggest a milspec hard anodized coating...I have made numerous items out of aluminum, anodized as above (not expensive BTW) and...

Oh no...no second place finishers here: It has to be easier, faster AND better. You see there's always a line from my rig for 'spresso drinks in the morning...and now in the mid-afternoon too. :coffeedrink: No fast grinding here...hmmm let me think about this one...air powered...
