Yeah, I have been shopping with the idea of getting a towable camp trailer. Some of the prices I see are just crazy. Sure base price might seem attractive but when you start adding options, they balloon to insane amounts. There are a lot of really cool designs and ideas out there. As...
Hahahah.... I am not ready to move out of my house and into the Pinz.... because if I bought another car/truck at this point, my wife is going to make me live in it. I already have 7 vehicles right now. :D
Stuck with the stock Pro-4X size, 265/75-16. I went back and forth and for my needs, the slight benefits of the 285 didn't outweigh the negative issues. I also didn't want to go with a E load rated tire and nothing I wanted was offered in 285 size that wasn't E load rated. Given the 265's are...
Next upgrade I wanted to do is the factory fog lights. These are fairly useless and after the new LED headlight bulbs, you really didn't see any difference with them on. I decided on upgrading them to Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro fog light kit. Install went fairly okay, once I could figure out how to...
Hi all,
Just happened across ROC trailers from a ExPo classified ad and did a search here, to find out some info. I was surprised to not find anything.
Does anyone have any experience with these trailers? Really liking the design and construction.

Finished up the last roof rack project. Built my mounts for the MaxTrax boards. Commercially available mounting plates were too expensive for what they were, so I picked up some 1/4" aluminum plate and built my own. Happy how they turned out. Can't even see the boards from the front or side.
I have been using the Hot Shot stuff in my GM 6.2L diesel but really haven't put many miles on it. It seems to have good reviews (outside of Amazon) so I figured I would try it and seems to be working fine.
I am using the Ram spine mount, that can be used with the Garmin spine system that came with my InReach Mini. Since we cannot post Amazon links, here is the description
RAM Mounts Spine Clip Holder with Ball for Garmin Handheld Devices RAM-B-202-GA76U with B Size 1" Ball
Picked up the hardware I needed to complete the install of the awning. Very simple since I already had the mounting brackets installed. Happy with how it sets up and works.
Now I am waiting for my MaxTrax mounts to come in, so I can complete that part and the roof rack project will be done.
Last up was to setup my Ram ball mounts on the dash, so I can mount my Overlander GPS and InReach satellite message system. Used a piece of aluminum as a backer to the mount, so spread the load. Worked out as I hoped and when in the seat, it doesn't block the radio or view out the front. Yay...
Today has been a productive Xterra project day. Overall things went smoothly and about how I planned them.
First up was installing the cargo box on the top. Lots of measuring and drilling 4 holes in the box and piece of aluminum (to spread the load) and bam, box is mounted. Filled it up with...
Looking good. I think one thing that likely won't be DOT approved is in the last side pic, I see both the front and rear side marker lights are yellow. I believe the rear ones need to be red, from most trailer codes I have seen.
