Yeah, I have no idea what has been going on with XPS foam board. NO Lowes or Home Depot in SoCal area has it or can order it. Been looking for months. Home Depot even called their headquarters and they couldn't say why and said to call Ownins Corning.
I had thought the same thing, since I park on the street in a East/West config. I do not cross rotate so driver and pass side tires are always on the same side. I totally would have expected this to be on the south facing tires and had I only saw them on that side, it would have made sense...
Yeah, that is what I would see but living in San Diego, CA we don't get extended heat nor do I use any cleaners (outside of car wash soap). We figured it was a bad batch of rubber.
Their standard A/T's suck. The REVO and later REVO 2 are actually a very good tire. I have used both on two different Cherokees. That's why the cracking issue was a surprise.
That said, the original REVO, we're made in Japan and these REVO 2 were made in Canada. These models were the ONLY...
Hi all,
Just sending out a cautionary tale to check your tires from time to time, regardless of how old they are or how many miles you have put on them.
My '99 Cherokee, I installed a set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO 2's in Nov. 2017. Been happy with them but I was getting ready for a road...
Great looking rig but I think you hit the nail on the head. My guess (and why I would not be looking if I was in the market) is the 6.0L which in trucks have a bad rep (vans were detuned so a little more reliable) and the lack of box interior height. Then add not being super singles, just puts...
I have and have considered it too but the big price of the unit itself and the cost of the refills, seems a little over the top cost wise. Also, that is something to fail and that is one system I would not want to fail. LOL
We have always used the PETT toilet with Wag Bags in our past rigs. Simple, easy, nothing to break or clean and easy to dispose of. In our new rig I am building, I am going to use the Wag Bags but will either build my own toilet to use them in or modify a bedside commode to allow me to use...
I am assuming you mean 5-7 pound lower than street pressure. If so, that is likely still too high. My Cherokee, which I run at 32 psi street, I air down to 18 psi dirt. My old Ram/FWC, I ran 60 psi street and 40 psi dirt.
@DCGibbs where you at street pressure or did you air down, when you got those two flats?
I will add to my comment, if you are traveling outside of the US or your rig is using a very uncommon sized tire that is not likely to find any (not just like brand/model) in stock at a tire store, there is...
So far in 15 years of offroading, I have not had a flat and only carry one spare. I do carry plug/tire repair kit and some form of air compressor. I also make sure my tires are in good shape.
The biggest thing I have seen in my travels (which is all southwestern US areas) is with other...
My previous rig was a club cab, long bed Ram, which for the desert southwest wasn't too bad overall. Had to be careful on tight switchbacks and be aware of break over angle but only had trouble a couple times. Luckily the Ram had a really good turning radius. Tight, narrow, wooded trails...
Look at the Walmart AGM battery. They are made by Johnson Control and the best thing is, they are warrantied at any Walmart, which at this point is about any mid to large town. Makes it easy to swap out on the road traveling, if needed.
You are doing what I call "aggressive negotiations" where you make someone feel you have the "right" to dictate the price of something just because something else similar sold for xxx price. I don't recall the OP asking for your OPINION on his price. He placed an ad (which we are allowed to do...
Honestly, why is everyone telling the OP what he "should" price it at? It is his rig, his price and his to deal with until it sells. If you don't like the price, move on. Don't continue to badger the OP because it doesn't meet what you feel the price should be or that he needs to justify why...
