    Van heating thread

I'll just add that my Little Buddy heater has two settings, low and high. Sleeping in 50ish degree temps, low is way too hot. Needs more windows open I guess. It's a pain in the *** to get out of bed and adjust that stuff. I'll try varying the fan speed on my Maxxair fan this winter.

    FOUND Vans For Sale!

You're right, that's weird. I didn't notice. I assume there used to be one in the back, but I can't exactly see how it's been removed.

InssssssssVANity!!!!!!!......or ****** did I just fly to Maine to by a Sprinter!

Do you have a way to tension the thing so it doesn't sag? What are the panels made of, plywood? Do they connect together? Is it just nylon webbing sewn to the mesh material? What is the mesh material and where did you source it? How many connection points to the L track? Generally I'm looking...

I'd like more info/pictures of how your hammock bed thing works. I'd like something like that in my Motovan.

MG Metalworks Radius Arm/Coil Spring Axle Conversion for E-series Vans

When you mention bump travel, are you measuring right above the bump stops? 4" that far inboard might be equal to say ~8" of wheel travel. Wheel travel is what's important, but you'd have to pull the spring out to measure it.

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

I'm glad I'm not down there on that El Cajon Pass fire. I had a leisurely fire up here in Oregon and a nice sunset cruise back to base with Tanker 44, a P2V Neptune.

Thoughts on a rental Expedition Vehicle with a manual transmission

I wouldn't want to rent a vehicle to someone that couldn't drive a manual transmission. How sheltered would that person have to be? What other critical life skills would they be missing? All that being said, automatic transmissions are harder to hurt so that's what I'd put in my fleet.

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Wow. I just read through this whole thread over the past few days. I plan to get one of those Uhaul trucks or vans with the cabover portion at some point to build a toyhauler with some dedicated living space. I'm glad to see that you decided to stick the the Uhaul truck and swap suspension...

Picked up two different styles of Thule bike racks at #TheGearFixBend and made some mounts for the floor of the #Motovan using the same tee nuts that I use for mounting the dirt bike wheel chocks to the removable piece of plywood. I can take two mountain bikes and one dirt bike now. The two...

My latest Eurovan build "Snap Dragon"

I love the CaveVan logo, especially embroidered into the seats. Really nice package overall. Surprised at the bright yellow pop up fabric though, I'd have gone with an off white to match. Is the yellow to match the reflective flames in the CaveVan logo? Interesting about the Yeti. You say...
