I would never even try to take my Pinzgauer to Mexico as it was painted OD. Just wasn't worth the possible trouble. It was actually a military vehicle, although not from this (US) country.
Have not noticed this issue with mine, but then I only use a few channels and have none preset as you do.
If you bought it at a HAMM shop take it in and ask them. If you bought it off internet, you're probably screwed.
My LR now has the front runner drawer system. I removed the third row seats which were just about the weight of the drawer system so not much difference. What I put in them I would have put into something that would have added more weight so it comes off to be a trade off.

Same expansion happens when I climb in altitude in CO and the sun beating on my Nato cans on the roof rack. Have to be careful when I open them so the opening isn't toward me. But, still they do not leak. My Sceptor cans do.

I do remember when stationed in Naval station Memphis in the 60's it was illegal to use your car horn. Many disconnected the horn to avoid sounding it accidentally, now there was a great idea.
Often thought of adding a diesel rig horn but not a train horn. Went to a salvage yard and bought a big truck horn to add a bit of clout to my wimpy LR horn.
