    LR3/4 3rd Row Window Replacement

I do know what you are after as I a also after that, but consider the antenna that is in the window. How are you going to get around that issue? I have resigned myself to not having an openable side window as none are available yet. Just one more thing to spend my $$$ on.

Looking for advice from seasoned adventurers

We have occasionally booked a room while on a camping trip if we see a place to stay that looks comfortable as we drive by it. Going to the website to see what is available and pricing. Sometimes it works, sometimes not but it is worth the effort.

Overlanding is 2 better than 1?

When considering a long trip what is your ideal time frame in days or weeks. Since many do not have the availability that some have, is that a reason to go solo or simply a desire to travel alone? Realizing that traveling with others often affords a possibility of safety in numbers and...

Overlanding is 2 better than 1?

When I lived in my RV I traveled solo. Never had to ask 'Hey what do you think about this'. But if I were going to the far reaches of jabip I might want a companion. But someone that has at least similar travel style (in the same vehicle) otherwise a traveler in another vehicle would be an...

    LR3 4.4 What octane?

there is a lot of back and forth here. What it comes down to is that it's your vehicle, you bought it, run anything you want in it. Just because the manual says to run 91 premium for optimal performance seems to be just a guideline for some of you. You are paying for the maintenance so don't let...

    RTT Rack for my M416

I had a trailer (M416A) that carried a RTT. I made brackets that bolted to the tub to carry the tent. I used round pipe with a brass bushing to center a 1/2 inch all-thread rod that supported the tent. Had the brackets bent at a metal shop to the angle of the tub and used large washers and a...

Sewing Thread....A discussion on making your own adventure textile gear.

Having had a Brother industrial machine that I inherited and since sold, I am trying to find another industrial machine to take its place. I have watched the Sailrite videos and noticing that they sell a deep throated machine, it began a very interesting train of thoughts. The Sailrite sales are...
