Sewing Thread....A discussion on making your own adventure textile gear.

Years ago when I was suddenly on my own the two things I bought were a wok (to learn to cook) and a sewing machine (to learn to make my own stuff and hem pants and such) I still have them both 40 years later. Take a sewing class, they are out there, just to learn the basics. It can change your life.

GAP Diagnostic Tools: Questions and Dream Requests!

While on the trail sometimes things happen that are best left to qualified technicians if it isn't covered in the manual. It would be great if there were a book that was 'LR for Idiots' like I had in the 70's for my VW. Some of the confusing if not downright stopping your movement type of things...

    LR3 4.4 What octane?

Using less octane rating than prescribed per the owners manual or your technician may decrease performance and possibly cause damage to the internals of your engine. Water container recs/stowage of them...

I also carry water bricks, they don't leak. That Sceptor that was on my roof did. won't use a tool to tighten as it screws up the gasket. Just won't use the scepter cans on the roof again.

    Moving my ARB Air Compressor?

Interesting collection of mud/dust you have there, not good for compressors. Mine is a Viair and I keep it in an ammo can in the back of the LR. It has battery clamps to attach it for power.
