Why not go minimalist and pull the door panel off? Looks like the inner skin is pretty flat; close it with a sheet of aluminum or plywood and Bob’s your uncle: flat surface to install something similar! Make a nice leather pull strap to close the door and I’m sure a simple latch on the inside...

I agree with @jgaz; seeing the process is super inspiring and it helps me understand the steps it takes to make such a product. I learn a lot from your posts and appreciate the time you take to document with detailed photos and steps. Keep it up!

Love that TNT LJ with the Safari Cab. I’d love to do the 10” stretch on my JK to make a JKL and add a custom roll cage similar to the TNT version and build a custom stretched JK Safari Cab. But alas, time and money are in short supply right now. Maybe one day!

Except that those are JLUs, not JKUs. I don’t believe UM has a JL version yet. That cab over is awesome! Wonder how much it weighs as payload is always a weak link with Wrangler-based expedition vehicles. Wish those would come to market!

The Hennessy Hammock is popular with expedition sea kayakers around here. The advantage is not needing to find a flat campsite when landing on shore; trees around here are plentiful and the integrated rainfly and insect screen is awesome and necessary. I could see a detachable or retractable...

Speaking of axles, I don’t recall reading what your plans are for those (apologies if I missed it). Given that your rig looks to be a non-Rubicon, your front is a D30. With that extra weight, I’d recommend at least trussing and sleeving, but I‘d be willing to bet to legally increase your GVWR...
