I was wondering if anyone else on the forum is still waiting on a trailer from Simon at Four Leaf Clover fab? I placed an order with him back in November of 2020 and I still don't have anything. To make matters worse, he has a set of wheels and tires I purchased separately as well as...
I still love the 7.3L diesel ford motor but the idea of having a leaf sprung front end isn't worth it for me. I need something that the wife won't hate to ride in and to do a coil sprung front swap is probably more money than I care to dump into a truck that old.
I could see on the ram2500 how that makes sense since it's coil sprung in the rear. I guess my biggest concern on f-250/f-350 is having a harsher ride driving around town unloaded. In an ideal scenario it would have a full carli set up but that's not in the cards right away. If the truck...
Is the biggest difference between the f-250 and the f-350 the rear suspension? I don't foresee us getting a slide in camper for the extra payload on the f-350 is probably way more than we would ever need/use. My thinking is when factoring in tongue weight that is where the payload of an f-250...
As far as a travel trailer I'd probably be looking at the Micro Minnie 2100BH from Winnebago or maybe the 2301 BHS but that seems real big. We've got a 2nd kid coming in the early fall so not sure how much adventuring I'll be doing but it's definitely something I think about.
whats your normal payload? My setup before was an ARE CX HD cap and a bunch of random ass camping stuff. I wish I had weighed everything before I got rid of my Colorado.
What's the payload of the f- 150 crew cab with the 6.5 bed and the max tow vs the f-250 with the 7.3 and the tremor package.?
So revisiting this almost a year later and the price of an f-250 lariat tremor with the 7.3 is pretty similar to the price of a fully loaded f-150 lariat. Difference beasts for sure but it's got me thinking again.
How much bigger is the 48 gallon tank vs the 34 tank in terms of dimensions? Is there enough space to take the 48 gallon tank and put it on the ccsb? Turning radius and wheelbase are way more important to me than distance between fill ups.
I'm looking at a crew cab with the 6-3/4' bed. The 8 foot bed is way longer than I need. I'm considering both the 7.3Gas and the 6.7 Diesel. I don't tow so leaning more towards the gas for the cost savings but I like that I can put an aftermarket 60 gallon tank on the 6.7 diesel.
Is there an option to add a larger gas tank aftermarket for the 7.3? My limited understanding is there is for the 6.7 diesel but not the 7.3 because of EPA rules/regulations? Part of the appeal of the 6.7 for me is the option of getting a larger fuel tank.
I could have sworn that when you bump up to the max tow package on the '21/22 f-150's that you have to run a 18 inch wheel or larger? Is that true? My understanding is it is done to accommodate larger brakes. Looking at a new f-150 and want to know what size tires I can put on without...
Yea, I should have phrased it better. What I was trying to understand is that load of 1,000lbs, whether it includes passenger weight or just the load in the bed of the truck?
