This is a Krylon Desert Tan rattle can job. It is ~1 year old in this photo with ~25 days of off road. It sees a lot of heavy brush and mud and has held up very well. It sleeps in the garage so I'm not sure how much weathering you'd see from sun and rain. I painted over a good, intact...
Your project is looking great:ylsmoke: Have you considered a burly looking back bumper, possibly with tow points? My brother backed his coleman popup into a tree, it wasn't pretty:mad:
Have you considered a simple 2x6 box tube bumper of the same shape, with longer returns. Matterial would be $30-50. You could put expanded metal on the top to make a step/platform to access under the hood. That stock bumper looks a little odd sticking out that far. Please don't take offense...
I've never worked on a toy rearend, but you might want to check to see if your drive shaft is bent or out of balance. I had a bent front drive shaft take out a front pinion seal on mine already. Good luck
If you intend to heavily use the armor, another way to save some coin is to get it unfinished. No sense paying for powder coat if you are going to grind it off with abuse. I take my bumpers, skid, etc. off every so often and repaint. Many of the small guys would rather sell it to you unfinished.
