I have a variety of soft shackles including the ARB.
You can pretension the soft shackle and it will handle the snatch "shock" just fine, I did it last weekend :)
Looking at your website I think the prices are great for a large format printed map.
With all the people that travel to Colorado & Utah I have hopes that those are soon to come out.
I live in Arizona so I am also wishing for my state along with New Mexico.
Funny that we can spend so much time, money and mental effort on insulation......when not matter what you do a passive system will equalize with ambient sooner or later.
With my new van build I figure I will have active heating and cooling most of time and since I have a short wheelbase, low...
Your blog is one of the few I go to directly when at work, I never have to worry about anything other than amazing pics and a great story,
Most of the time I just read forum trip reports but I have your blog locked in my memory.
Great stories as always,
I already use those fuel canister in a grill and a single burner setup so I really want a couple of these as a much more compact setup.
Very cool and I am looking forward to some thoughts after real life use.
I have learned that if you have the roof space a 65x39in residential solar panel is the cheapest price per watt you can get.
315 watts for $205 for example

I have done this on 2 rigs and love the power I get going into...
Tough as nails yet the lightweight aluminum means the Taco doesn't know it's there.
Honestly if I had not had a killer chance to build a 4x4 Transit I would be owning this forever. We really thought about keeping it for our boys to use but 2 payments is too much.
Heatshield Products makes some really cool stuff to block the heat before it every gets into the vehicle.
I really like the Sticky Shield as I was able to apply it to the floor sheet metal under the body and above the exhaust.
The same theory could keep the heat/cool inside as well,
I have...
As much as I wanted to sell this as a package deal with the truck and camper together it seems that I got a buyer for the Taco so now it is time to pass on the Treehouse.
I thought I had contact info for folks who ask about just the camper when I first offered it up but I can not find anything...
Fat rigs are always the frustration.....I actually bought a scale just to make me be aware of what I take away and what I add. Not to mention a stop at a Truck Scale after any major change.
As to price I think keeping an eye on the Facebook Overlanding groups (both general and South America)...
At Overland Expo West last year I was all over the Rivian and we all know recharging is a big issue...
This blows everything else out of the water with the Fuel Cell and EV setup.....300 miles EV only and 300 miles on hydrogen for a combined 600 mile range.
Plus Nikola has a map on their website...
Being a desert person who often travels in groups I can say I deal with dusty filters often.
That is another use for my on board air setup, in camp at night or the morning before leaving, pop out the filter and use the air compressor to blow it out. I also do that with the interior to get rid of...
I will take pics and measurements and reach out to my buddy Nick (72 burb with the 5.9 Bill and Larry talk about) and see if he remembers.
Maybe it is someone other than ORD or something else.....I was planning a 6.5 diesel swap into my burb so maybe we got something odd at that time.
