That is very common with the Euro builders, not really sure if it is just that people travel before or after kids but when I went to the Alrad (huge, massive offroad show in Germany) I noticed everything was setup for 2 people
I have this stainless Front Runner table.
It ain't cheap but I have rebuilt parts in remote areas and wiped it clean, it is thin enough to carry UNDER a roof rack and should be something I give grandkids.
Put together a video on all the goodies that have recently arrived....
A crazy ring from 7P
2 air compressors, because why not
thermal camera (such a cool toy)
Method wheels
and more
I hear ya.....the REC "twin" would be my choice if Victron wasn't giving me a deal on their bits (full disclosure) so I am willing to spend a more on the panel (paying retail).
I have found the residential panels the best size to price to power ratio at 65x39
I was going to use this panel as I have something like it on my Taco / Treehouse and it works great for under $200

But instead I am...
Well ok now I want to wander north from Arizona.....I grew up in the Panhandle of Texas and never gave thought to Kansas and Nebraska, my mistake it seems.
SEMA build :)
That is the simple answer, but yes for marketing, events, social media, videos and all that I will be putting the 150Ah battery and all the associated goodies behind a lexan panel where the world can enjoy the view.
The Transit has these nifty inset areas behind the driver and...
Best thing I have read and soooo true. I am normally all about function over form but for my SEMA Transit build I will admit the clean look of all Victron vs the Sterling design was an easy choice.
I was on the side of the direct drop in style batteries like Battleborn since they fit in common trays/holders and have all the goodies built in.
But after reading the experiences of people who have the BMS part go out or wanting to know how things work I am coming around to the Victron style...
Dude thank you....the only thing making me hesitate is that I hate selling things and putting the 75/15 on a shelf till I give it away would be the reality.
Keeping it for a folding panel controller or something like that makes sense.
Ok I will order up the 100/30 and then I can do some testing...
Yeah 150lbs of batteries right against the cab end of the bed. I have the Icon stage whatever with RTX or whatever they call their super suspension with bumpstops. Never had any trouble and I drive like a Baja racer on washboards. But it is still a bunch of weight.
And that is why I am thinking...
call up Northern Arizona Wind and Solar and see if they have any in stock...or someone somewhere might. However I heard that Victron drop ships alot of stuff so all those "in stock" website could be fibbing.
Update time....
Method 701's arrive today, looking forward to finding out if the Bead Grip thing is for real.....50% off for doing some social media posting
Extreme Outback Endura air compressors (yeah going for 2, will explain why later), air tank and misc in route
Working on a roof rack and...
Perfect example of the customer screwing themselves....
I ordered the Victron off Amazon after reading about it....
But I got the panel at Northern Arizona Wind & Solar and just told them "oh I have a controller, no worries". Instead if I had ask for advice or at least made sure my controller...
OH OH OH that reminds me of something I have been meaning to learn about....
Like you I am going to start with a 360w panel (LG residential) but I would like to be able to park under a shady tree and put out a folder which would obviously be something smaller.
My understanding is that if I just...
Since there have been some great Victron threads lately I figured I should reach out to better minds than mine to see if I am getting all I can out of my 300w panel into my 2 group 31 AGM batteries.
I got out of work early today and noticed that even though the sun was still shining the spot I...
