So my quest to find every deal on Craiglist for Pelican cases has paid off. I have done a lot of horse trading of different things and have landed several deals. Here is what I think I am going to run for now.
1 Pelican 1630 trunk for large items and bulky stuff for camping.
1 Pelican 1650 for...
I decided to go with Pelican cases since my cruiser runs without a top for over half the year and water and dust are real issues when wheeling without a top. I also like that I can pop them into my other rig, or a friends and know my gear is organized, dry and safe. I have been scouring...
FOR SALE: I have 2 PAIRS of locking paddle latches that were left over from my trailer build. I thougth I would add side boxes to my main box, but 4 years later these latches have gone unused. They are new in their packages.

Awesome, I have been wanting to see your Campers up close... I will be attending to find your booth specifically. Could you post up the booth number when you get it?
Thanks!
I like to make campfire donuts... just use the cheap biscuts from the store, stretch them to create a hole. Quick pan fry in hot oil, flip... and then toss them in a tupperware style container with powder sugar or your favorite topping/glaze.
I made some for my friends on a recent trip to the...
Thanks Mike, I like what you have done with the rear box on the jeep. I have considered something similar on my rear tire carrier. Got a lead on the isolators you are talking about? I was considering just drilling a few holes and using some rubber backed washers to keep the box dry.
Anymore...
I have seen the Caribou Cargo system. It is a nice design that I might consider.
I was wondering what some of you have done to secure Pelican cases that don't use a strap or at least do not prohibit the opening of the lid in the "secured" position.
Thanks, I am looking at making some cases...
Thats a clean FJ40!
What rear seat is that? Is there any markings on it? I am putting in a rear seat for my kiddo's and dropping the rear jump seats. I am looking at the Trailmax II from Bestop. Full cage this winter.
Rig looks great. What are your plans for it? What do you want to use it...
I have an Acend 10L dry bag under my front seat in the fj40... I run it topless for 8 months out of the year and it gets dumped on, snowed on, mud and rain... never once had a drop of water inside. I keep a set of gloves, warm hat, and a down vest in it year round. It was like $12 at bass pro...
For any extended trips off road with the trailer attached at 5/8" Grade a bolt and nylock nut are cheap insurance. A spare in the parts bag is always a good idea too, glad to see you were prepared and everything turned out safe! Nice looking trailer for sure!
Welcome! I am sure some people will post up where they have mounted auxilary switches in their 80 series! I drive an FJ40 so I don't have anything to show.
So I have been scouring C'list over the past few weeks. I scored two more pelican cases. A 1600 and a 1620 as they both take up the same footprint with the 1600 being roughly 8" tall and the 1620 being 13" tall. You ready for this... grand total out of pocket for all three boxes= $140!
I may...
