Great, here is what I am thinking is going to happen...
So I have decided on a design, thanks for all the imput everyone. My biggest missing link was deciding on whether or not the $$$$ involved in heavy duty drawer slides was worth it or not. Well, I was surfing on Ebay the other day and found...
We all know that'd be really cool! I gotta' save some gas money to be able to get outdoors this summer somewhere though! ;)
Do you know of a source for those adapters, I haven't begun to look into yet, but I better get rockin' on it soon. :D
Yeah, I was curious to how "hot" it would get... most of my camping is done in the Colorado high country with only a few trips to Moab every year or two... I dont think it would create that big of a deal heat wise.
ntsqd- you happen to have a pic laying around of that set up? My only hang up with that is that my propane tanks are located at my rear corners of the trailer and I am not sure they would be in an ideal spot for lighting the kitchen. But I do like the idea, a screw in base of pipe in stead of a...
Came up fine for me, sorry.
Thanks for the link, I have taken a good look through that thread before! Lots of good stuff there.
As for grey water, I will most likely use a tub to drop a hose into and discard as necessary. I am pretty good with prep before our trips so I don't feel we will...
So I am entering into my second phase of building my trailer (see my sig for the link) and I am focusing on the interior of the trailer, mainly the kitchen and storage boxes.
I have finally aquired two sets of heavy duty ball bearing slides that extend a full 47.25" and hold 100's of pounds...
That came out really great Adam.
One suggestion, get a bolt on drop down leg for the front, I have a weld on and there is so much play in the joint that it makes the overall package a little unstable.
Just a thought. The one AT uses is top notch.

Jumping into this late and didn't wade through 7 pages on plugs but the marine market is a great place to look, they have the 12v plugs and recepticles that have a "turn to lock" feature that is really slick, weather-resistant and vibration proof.
Yup, nice looking trailer for sure. I love the custom fabbed stuff and how clean you kept all the lines.
You could sell those fenders at $300 bucks a pair all day long.
Looking forward to your progress.:victory:
I used some kind of body sealer... 3m something or other to seal all the exposed edges of the steel after primer or before, what ever the directions called for. It was an acrylic based product. It went on after all the fab work. It should remain flexable and it was easy to apply
...if it makes...
This might be understood but I think it is worth mentioning.
If at any point you think things are going to go down bad with a bear... screw the "rules" protect you and yours. Property... meh, let it go. But human life, it is a no brainer.
We need to be prepared, with know-how and equipment...
Even easier is to build the front frame out of 1x1 and the sides out of 2x1 and you will end up with a "L" in your inside corner leaving you a nice semetrical outside and two surfaces to weld/bolt to on the inside.
I would give another HUGE vote for Benchmade, nothing like them out there.
The axis lock IS what you are looking for in a one hand/ambidextrous, opening/closing device.
knifeworks.com has some good prices.
Once you handle a model 940 or 943 (think great all around) or 615 (think 2006 knife...
I camp in bear country, I use a RTT, my food lives in the trailer, and my wife always smells as sweet as flowers...no problems yet!
But we do prepare for "encounters" like we prepare for off highway travel. There are always risks, I can't let the idea of a bear coming through camp keep me out...
