Hey fellas, I thought I would tap into your collective knowlege for some advice on shock placement on a solid axle trailer.
Here is a pic of the chasis I am mounting these onto.
What is the best orientation to get the shocks to perform well, and stay out of the rocks? Also, if I could not fab...
That trailer box makes the perspective on that beast come alive, what a huge trailer, but if it is going to tow behind a MOG then it looks just right! :coffeedrink:

Nope, I am not sure what it will come in as far as wieght, probably just shy of a Kerbillion pounds... but a 100 series might be in our future as well someday. :eek:
I bought a molded 7 pin connector from Northern Tool. Might be worth a try it is made from a heavy rubber compound and seems pretty solid to me. Just a thought.

Napa carries a 7pin for big rigs, all metal on both ends, really nice units. Just another .02
Also, where are you mounting your outlet at, is that what is taking the shots?

You're on the right track bud. Keep it up. Personally, I would keep it flat, I think the forces on a trailer are not as extreme as on a vehicle, a good wall thickness will pick up the strength you need. I think fitment and leg work to get them right cocked at that angle will produce marginal...
