I did the NOLS/WMI upgrade for medical professionals....WUMP Great instructors in Flagstaff and has made a huge difference in my perspective going from an urban ICU RN to wilderness mindset. Take all the instruction you can get, never hurts to know too much.

The best setup I ever had was a toyota factory snorkel with Donaldson centrifigal pre-filter....ugly as sin but amazing. Otherwise quality paper filter and use on board air to blow it out at night in camp. Oiled filters are evil...plain and simple

on my 700r4 I had to drill the pan and add a B&M sensor. Not sure on your setup but it was not hard and could be part of a filter/fluid service anyway Oh and I went with an Autometer gauge

Brian I am not sure if this really helps or not :) BUT we love our Sena Intercom's on our bikes and Sena makes a ham radio adapter than turns your radio into bluetooth device. Works great. I guess you lose your nice Howard earmuffs but the Sena does talk, phone, gps and ham so well you might not...
