I finally sold my big 24' featherlite surv toyhauler and wasn't easy because I knew it would be hard to find anything built as well.
Reading back, I understand aluminum trailers crack instead of flexing especially pulled off road. But I want to be able to shower in my new project trailer...
Hi neighbor.
Sorry Motoprof14. I already have three motorcycles I want to sell also, but it's the bad time of the year to sell them.
My asking price is a ebay "buy it now price". I'm a reasonable guy who isn't insulted with any offer.
Your welcome to stop over and we could go for a test...
'85-'91.5 D60 was 36.5" 1 1/2" narrower.
Yeah its not rocket science.
I just didn't want to be disappointed with the springs I may pick. And on the fence with leafs since I have a 05 F350 available. I have a free set of 5 leaf 48" springs but still checking on the capacity.
I was wondering when you would catch that.
Don't know where my spring perch's will be? You?
You and I both know all that is needed are custom 3/4" offset shackles and and custom hangers. Big deal. The spring eye's will be within 1" of where you put them for and aft. Probably within 1/2"...
It is a pretty simple question aimed at a person who could easily answer it.
"Were".. Meaning past tense.. Or in other words. Please give me some details about the springs you've installed a hundred times or better yet, sell me some.
Thanks. But my local spring shops are about as...
Good luck with that.
If he allows you to, you have to buy something.
He's just sore I decided to install a kingpin and about my cummins install he failed at. I could have told him a P-pump wont fit had he asked.
Thanks.. I don't have a problem buying springs and parts.. All Iv said is...
No one has give me any install info, or what not to do, other than "don't install anything other than what I sell." And now " Leaf sprung 4x4 vans ride like crap with short truck springs."
I guess I could go searching archives on how he built his springs. But wouldn't it be a little...
I'm considering aftermarket progressive leaf springs for my 88 F350 D60 front axle, but I haven't removed the existing 2wd front suspension to make room to measure how much arch I want.
Can anyone comment on how much arch their front springs were, and how much travel or lift they ended up with...
That spring chart in the link doesn't have 1 ton springs.
I called a local spring shop and turns out the measurements I had were wrong. The front 88 F350 3" spring length is 23 7/8. Back 28 3/8 with 3" arch and 2200# rating. So those will work fine.
So its just a matter if I buy new...
Still been thinking about this even though I couldn't get it together for my last trip..
Biggest issue for the tub is having level ground.
I found this hydro hammock.
