Opinions on installing a L702 screen

The 4x4 screen on the Nav was cool for 2005, but I would rather know what the wheels are actually doing rather than a graphical depiction. This is from 3 years ago; I have some better camera angles under the truck now: I currently have 3 camera feeds (backup, front bumper, and under), but...

LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

I couldnt get a new LT275/65r18 Duratrac to fit, but 50% worn fits just fine. I ran the spare of my 1st set in the back for a while. I also didnt know about the dishsoap trick back then. I use a cinderblock under thee spare and drop the suspension from (offroad to access) onto the spare.

Opinions on installing a L702 screen

Yes - I started without LR Nav. You may need to have a IIDtool to recode your LR to forget about the factory nav. I have seen the 4x4 info screen, and would trade it for the Kenwood features in a heartbeat.

Super Loaded LR3 Control Arm Questions

I only got 12K miles out of the last set of OEM RRS front lower control arms (LCA) on my LR3 - unacceptable! The dealer was more than willing to scratch it up to "a bad set" but not warenty them since parts warenty is only 12 months. I ended up going the poly bushing route with the POLY/LCA...

2005 Disco 3 (LR3) vs new Hilux Revo for overlanding

Nice problem to have - I wish we could get a Hilux Revo here in the states.

    Spare wheel thoughts?

I was blowing a tire almost every time to Rausch Creek, PA. Once I was on the spare Ill call it quits for the weekend. SO, two spares was cheaper than flatbed trailer for weekend adventures. One spare under the LR3 and one on the roof. Then I stopped airing down to 28psi. I have been doing...

Thinking of replacing all rubber in rear suspension on LR3

Good luck. I used RRS LCA on my LR3 last time and they only lasted 12k miles / 22 months! Im going w/Poly this time. Lucky8 has pre-assembled kit.

How many miles is "too many" for an LR3

Some days 126K feels like too many miles...but I recently tightened up the expo rack, replaced the LCA, and new tires. Squeaks are all gone and drives as good as new. :-D

Retrofitting an (active or manual) rear locking differential LR4

@Eniam17 ARB only offered a rear locker for the LR4's for a short time. Too bad, cause I love mine in the LR3. Expeditionportal's LR4 got one and there is a review, but the ARB RD218 documentation was revised that is "DOES NOT FIT LR4". Maybe it was only some LR4's that it was incompatible...

LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

You can always use the air suspension and gravity to assist. I put wheel under and winch up as far as it can easily, then blocks under the spare tire, and lower the truck onto it. My hitch has to be coerced to lock in the same way because the oversized spare it slightly in the way.

LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

Lots of dish soap helps 'encourage' it to fit.

    LR3 / Discovery 3 Coil Conversion +2" Question

I like there is the option for owners to go coils if the EAS goes to hell. When I lived in the NE - My EAS hated cold & wet conditions. Since moving south, I have run 275/65-18's (GY duratrac) everyday for years with no lift, no rub, and no problems. I only rise up +4" for the offroading...

LR3 owners sound off, which tires?

275/65-18 is ~32" diameter and seems to work well

LR3 Tire Size to prevent rubbing

The size you have on there is 32.5" diameter. Your much BIGGER problem would be that if you had an air suspension fault, you would not be able to drive on the bumpstops. GAP tool is pretty much a must have!

LR3 Tire Size to prevent rubbing

The biggest you can go at stock height without rubbing is 275/65r18. Im on my 3rd set of goodyear duratracs. Two minor mods to facilitate this: I zip tied the left (driver) front ride height sensor wire from the outside of the frame to the top of frame rail. If you have 3rd row heat, there are...

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

Nice, especially if you need security. I just took Home depot screen door material, magnet strip, and hot glue: Less than an hour crafting.

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

The Kenwood system is still a good upgrade. I have had it since 2008 and still works flawless. I would have swapped it out for a tablet, but haven't figured out how to recreate the awesome relay switch feature. The K1000 has 4 relays. Good luck with the install. Let me know if you have any...

    AIR SUSPENSION TRANSFER RELIEF VALVE

Easy job. Deflate the EAS with a GAP iidtool before pulling hoses off the block. OR, remove the 1st one very slowly.
