I flew to Pittsburgh for the SECOND time to get things done with the van. The van is sold, but still needed the transmission rebuilt.
We thought she was ready to go, however not so much. The transmission isn't picking up the signal from the TSS sensor. We thought it was the speed controller...
I will end up with half in the front and the other half on the rear with the new design I'm going with.
I used to own a 2006 F-150 and it used to kinda have a hesitation on acceleration. I changed the plugs and coils and it went away. I'm having the same issue on this engine.
I'm still not...
If you want a temporary, but permanent fix, you're gonna laugh, but Flex Tape actually works. From the makers of flex seal lol...
Also self leveling RV roof sealant works well.
Thanks!
As it is now, no. I'm probably going to do some re-configuring.
I originally had 4, 1"x1" bars under the panels and they just bent. They hold them but there is no way it would last like that. I can't put supports under the cross bars because it would punch holes in the roof. I ended...
I'd mess everything up lol.
I ordered 1"x1" bars to go under the solar panels as support. Those were not enough, they just bent. The 1"x2" cross bar I was gonna use for the rest of the rack build had to go under the panels. I'm just gonna have to order more 1"x2" extrusions, like a lot more...
I'm working on a bracket solution. I think I should go to @ujoint and use the CNC, press brake, and powder coating oven. I'm sure he won't mind!
As it sits now, it's just sitting on the roof. I should have the brackets finished before I go on the boat Wednesday.
Replaced the catalytic converter. I was having the "P0420" engine code. I tried replacing all 3 o2 sensors and it still popped up after clearing the codes. After changing it, so far so good. I know I need new plugs and coils, that will have to wait a little bit.
I welded on the o2 sensor bung...
I've been painting all the solar panel frames black. When the extrusions come in, they will be black. And since the the solar panel frames will sit a little higher than the rack frame, I don't want the panels to stick out.
Also painting the condenser for the mini split.
Very nice work!
You have me wondering if a diesel heater will fit under the E-Series seat..... I'm building a box truck and not opening the cab to the box. But it would be cool just to mount the heater under the pass seat and then run the hose into the box.
