I've been back home since Wednesday. The camper is off of the truck, in the garage for some truck maintenance and misc stuff.
Today I bought turnbuckles that seem more sturdy than what FWC provided, with closed ends. I also bought "serated locking nuts" for the turnbuckles to help keep them...
My overall experience with Dodge/jeep/fiat/Chrysler would indicate that the Tundra would be way more reliable in the long run (probably the short run too). I don't believe half ton vs 3/4 will make a bit of difference in reliability or durability when you're talking about different platforms...
Look at the switch pro if you're considering something like that.
I had an spod and it was fine. But the switch pro is solid state, programmable switch panel. Uses less space, powers 8 items, no relays and fuses, no expensive switches, pretty sweet setup.

Ah well I called but apparently Kasey is off most of the week, and the guy answering the phone was clueless. Told me to call back and ask for him on Thursday.
This. Use common sense. Please look into joining a group focusing on safe and legal practices. Spend some time learning the U.S. Airspace system, and learn how to check for temporary flight restrictions by the FAA. Don't fly over or near people, over property where you are likely to cause...
So this collector required them to push the passenger side further out to the passenger side, right? The relentless skid must angle up to the frame there?
I'm still torn on what to do. But for $200 or less I may visit punks and have them reroute mine. I really want a skid plate before my...
I think so, but I don't think its an issue. They aren't that bright, and even with the other lights dimmed at night they are not bothersome. I could always put a dimmer on that circuit where it connects to the arb harness if it bothered me.
A little exploring this morning looking for camping spots close to home in the tillamook state forest.
And a stop by the suspension bridge at the forestry center.
Thanks. I bet your truck is as heavy as mine with the camper on! Plus you're running 35s. I can't complain about power at this point. Climbing the passes around here, it hasn't been an issue of how fast I want to go or how many cars I want to pass, just how much fuel I want to burn.
People...
I screwed up by touching everything before I took a picture. There was very light contact between the 2.5" shock body and the shock mount. Just enough to sort of scuff the paint. I think the 2" shock would be fine. Looks like I'll have to get out the grinder again one day. Just kind of a...
I did some brief suspension testing this morning, once again very pleased with the setup overall. No complaints on rough gravel roads. Recently I removed the large overload from the OME spring pack and installed the extra leaf. Since I would be running taller softer timbrens I didn't want to...
You know, they aren't fancy and they are light duty, but they look and feel like factory. I like the clean look. The downside is that I can't figure out how to make them dim with the dash lights. The tacoma apparently uses a 2 wire system or something. The dark green wire is constant 12v (or...
