Good luck, sounds fun aside from the high temps! Hoping for slightly lower when I get home.
Post up about your experience with the third member and clamshell install please. ;)
Well I ordered the arb deflator but I won't be home for over a week. Will let you know. I wasn't too impressed with the stauns. Videos of the arb deflator look good, pretty quick and straight forward.
I just picked up this grill from Mgmetalworks because I needed something very light and compact. It's just over 6lbs, folds flat into it's carrying carrying case. 3/16" aluminum and very sturdy. I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I'm excited to have found a portable grill that will pack...
Siped km2s or st maxx would both do pretty well for you. They should both be available in 255/85r16. The km2 has a softer more pliable sidewall, where the st Maxx is a much heavier duty construction. Both have pros and cons. With a taller profile I would probably side toward the st MAXX for...
Cool thanks. I should have sent mine out too, since I work out of state for two weeks, I just ran out of time. I guess it cost me $200 for the new bearings in the front diff but oh well. Good to know the brake lines are long enough, saves me from having to call a friend over to help bleed...
Looks like a good trip!
I need to decide on deflators again too, I seem to have lost my stauns (may have been left in the jeep when I shipped it)
Every time I used the staun deflators the psi seemed to vary. They should have been convenient but I feel like I tweaked the pressure every time I...
I'm hoping the front clamshell was sent out too?!
Any tips for someone doing the same thing in about two weeks? ;) I think ECGS shipped mine today but I won't be home for a while.
Nah you would need a boost sender anyway, and I'm not sure there is any way to integrate that into the OBD. I'd like a boost gauge and air to fuel ratio gauge but I don't care to have a couple of big aftermarket gauges either.
The gauge is ultra gauge. It does show trans temp. There is a thread on Tacoma world showing the proper ultra gauge to order as well as the programming codes. No complaints about it so far. It feels cheaper than the scan gauge and the buttons on back kind of suck, but once setup it seems...
2 steps forward, 1 step back. That describes most of this weekend. Lots of back tracking, re-routing wires, mounting, dismounting, running for hardware, bbq with friends and family, back to work...
I need to run cables to the powerpole connector in the bed and it will be functional. The...
The supercharger was the first thing I installed. So I can't really compare before and after with big tires.
But the supercharger with stock tires was pretty awesome! It still gets around pretty good now, I don't regret it at all. Today I ordered lower gears and lockers. ;)
Progress is still slow but I'll take it. The sliders went on earlier this week. I spent all morning sourcing stainless hardware and hull-through fittings and other misc bits. Also found out that the camper is due in less than a month!
This afternoon I took the rear seat storage panels out...
Thanks. I'm (impatiently) waiting for a FWC fleet that I ordered in the beginning of March. I need the rear seat for my daughter, and the truck is my daily driver when I'm home (about 40% of the time). We'll see how the long wheel base works out, I don't think it is too bad so far.
I managed to get a couple things done this weekend, not as productive as I hoped but at least I got some things done!
After some time with scotch brite and acetone.
Rustoleum primer
Rustoleum semi gloss black
Seems I got lucky with the warm weather. First paint project I've done where...
Trying to make my truck even slower!
Two batteries will be for the camper, isolated from the starter battery with the blue sea ACR. I'm going to mount them in the truck, rather than the very back of the camper on the driver's side. Better weight distribution, shorter wire run from the...
