Sean I think you may have your shackle installed in the wrong direction. Eric's directions for the install said to place the "brace" of the factory shackle facing rearwards if I am not mistaken. Either yours is backwards, or mine is! haha
Oh and nice chainsaw. Want.
UPDATE
My Archive Garage 6" Shackles showed up on Friday. Once again, a masterpiece of design. Greaseable bushings ******.

Was hoping to have them in over the weekend but haven't had time and I'm out of town...
Awesome report. Seems like driving an older character vehicle just makes the trip that much better.
I am from Nelson BC (originally)... Rossland rules! Although I can't decide if I like Red or Whitewater more, they are both too good! haha My wife and I will be doing a similar trip to this next...
Yah lots of Tundras from AB! We should get a run together sometime.
Jealous of all the welding gear OP. I wish I could weld MIG decent, let alone TIG. haha It will come... with time.
Lots of flexibility with this system for sure!
Lol thanks.
Next? Rear bumper needs powdercoat. Just debating if I follow through and get the LineX done before I install the bumper. Either that or I bolt everything on and then bug Benc to send me a front bumper! Lots of projects on the go...
Good call. I have no plans for swing-outs and just wanted it as low-pro as possible, thus the design. Easily adapted though for swing-outs!
I was approx 0.5" higher after the SFK. My post was split and there is some info on the previous page. It was designed to bolt in with minimal change in...
You will always think sliders are not necessary until its too late....
As mentioned earlier, rocker repairs are insanely expensive and sliders should (IMO) be one of the first modifications a vehicle sees when being used offroad. If you just stick to gravel roads and have no plans to adventure...

UPDATE - Archive Garage Shackle Flip Kit (SFK)
I appologize for the delay. This write-up has been a long time coming. I have been through several renditions of thought for my rear suspension setup. With the lack of support for the 1st Gen Tundra it seems like the only options for the rear are...
Well that makes more sense. Once I get the 02's in I'm going to baby the next tank and see how I fair. Sorry no more clogging up your build thread!
Thats pretty good! I've made it to 600kms before but I had been driving f0r 75kms with the light on. Yikes!
Thats what I am thinking but I hope I can get them onto the bodies!
Replication is the greatest form of flattery my friend! haha I am actually very pleased with the design. I am sure you will have some excellent and unique ideas to ad to your own. Love your front bumper BTW!
Yah short term...
450 miles per tank is what I do not understand. I have 3 wheeling buddies with 2UZ vehicles (Tundra, and 2 4th Gen v8 4Runners). One is stock gearing with 33's, one is 33's with 4.88s, and mine is 35's with 4.56 gears. None of us clear more than 550kms (~350miles) per tank EVER. I actually don't...
Rear bumper is basically done. Nick is just cleaning it up with the flappy disk and reinforcing the hitch area a bit more. Should be able to pick it up on Friday.
Here is a bad cell phone pic. I'll get some better ones with my real camera once it's painted.
