Agreed. I posted in your thread, did I hear right that your doing a Tundra SAS?!
I have rear extended brake lines and have the LSPV relocation bracket. Factory E-brake cable, although I bent one of the brackets a little to allow more slack in the line at full droop. There isnt much more room...
Eric @ Archive Garage ^^^
It's something you might think would be an easy job to fabricate in the garage, but with the rear frame taper and the angles at play I am very happy to have something that was designed digitally and tested prior to cutting out the factory mounts. Super happy with the...
I paid $13500 CDN for mine 3 years ago.
- 2004 Limited 4x4 Access Cab 172,xxx kms
- Full dealer service history since day 1
- Southern Alberta vehicle its whole life (no salt)
- Timing belt replaced 30K before I bought it
- Needed new tires
- No accident history
Here is my take on buying...
Just finished reading your article and going through the pics/videos. I too hope to attempt the Rubicon one day, and this is further inspiration. Maybe I'll even be the first Tundra to squeeze down the Rubicon?!
I definitely can appreciate your groups driving prowess too. Lots of gentle inputs...
Front bumper in the planning phases, I'm hoping to have one by August.
I'm trying to avoid a swing out due to keeping it clean and simple looking. I love the functionality of the swing out and may have to ad one later our of necessity, but trying to avoid.
Thanks Jose. Me, you, and Sean will...
Those look deadly Sean! How painful was the bracket modification required?
I've got a set of power IS300 leather/suede seats in my garage that I have been debating swapping into my Tundra. That or I have a line on some STI seats too. The additional bolstering is probably so awesome.
Any chance we can get a couple teaser pics of the BJ74 once it's got the bumpers on it? In an effort to conclude this amazing build of course!
Already logged into the Jeep thread. Always anticipating your next effort.

Pretty happy with the outcome. Still might put the license plate on a piano hinge over the hitch but I dunno... Also got the rear Rally Armor mud...
As a tall person, I'm wondering what the overall length will be. Or if they will have sizing options like Autohome and James Baroud have.
Very interested and tuned for more!
UPDATE
Received my 6" Archive Garage Shackles last week and got around to installing them tonight. Fairly straight forward putting them in, especially after doing the SFK install. Took me 2 hours and half of that was messing around with some fender trim for my cut bedsides and I removed the...
Hells Revenge, nice! Either of you try Hells Gate? I did it in the LX and managed to not lift a tire... I think the Tundy with the longer wheel base would make quick work of it.
Lots of people who don't need the tire clearance will trim the rear bump stop strike plate to accommodate for more up travel and yet still retain a stock or similar length bumpstop. I was reading a good discussion about it over on TundraSolutions.
Running without bumpstops and new shocks is...
Thanks Gents!
Not sure why its not showing up, try refreshing the page? I'm on Chrome on my iMac and it's working as it should?
UPDATE
Was able to do a little exploring this weekend. Tried some new trails and ended up getting turned around deep into the forest with a LONG way back. Kind of...
Definitely could. I just am not a huge fan of the rear overhang look. Looks so strange to me. Although.... if you had some tubing going at a rearward rake to catch the overhang portion of the tent it might help the look out a bit. Hmmm that would be easy to do...
Unrelated to #Doug but a cool...
Yah because the shackle is inverted with the new design, you would have to flip it to make it the same as it was installed in the OEM position. I unbolted mine from the leafs and then flipped it. From the eye, isn't the shackle kind of hooked in one direction over the other? If so it might...
