People should be shot for using Vampire taps/Scotch locks. The trailer industry loves them and they are the main reason trailer lights never work.
Because the bolts weren't all that great when new. Now that they are rusted they are a liability. Getting them out intact once is lucky, a couple years down the road he will not be that lucky. Getting broken off bolts out of a block is no fun. Much easier to just put in new bolts.

You need to lean the shocks in more if you can. Right now you will have a falling rate for most of your bump travel.

Those hinges are way stronger than they need to be as when you latch the doors they become structural. The side to side loads imposed while driving are way higher than what a propane tank will ever put on it.
I think tilting will cause clearance issues by the time you get it far enough open to be useful. Hinge ones side and it would not have to swing far to get the bike in.
