    Circuit Breaker Advice

Thanks for the link, that is the resource I've been needing. I don't know why I didn't think to check out blue sea, I've used a lot of their stuff!

    Charging trailer battery

I ran an eight gauge wire from my trailer connector through a forty amp relay and a forty amp circuit breaker at the battery. The relay comes on with the ignition switch so it doesn't drain my starting battery. I tried it first with twelve gauge wire and it didn't work due to current carrying...

    Circuit Breaker Advice

I've been working on a dual battery conversion for my JKU for the last week and I'm wondering if I installed too big of a circuit breaker under the hood. The battery system uses a NW power products smart solenoid and I've got a 4 gauge cable running off of the house side of the solenoid to the...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

I too am guilty of leaving my bedding, pillows and a 5" mattress upstairs. I have far too much stuff to haul downstairs to keep it anywhere else. I like keeping it up there full time because it can be used in a pinch if I'm visiting family or a pass is closed and I need a bed for the night. I...

Ursa Minor Camper Interior Cabin Build Thread

I have 5” of foam in my mattress. I used the original mattress and then stitched two mattress toppers together for the top. To hold it all together my aunt and mother sewed me some slip covers out of full size sheets with Velcro closures so I can toss them in the washer. It all works really well...

    Winch contactors/ relay

The switch is a good idea that I’ve been meaning to add myself. I’m an electrician by trade and know better but I’ve put it off.

    Winch contactors/ relay

I don’t know anything about the winch in question, but if the new “contactors” are in fact semiconductors and not relays I would definitely recommend them. No moving parts and they’ll work after sitting for a very long time which is my number one complaint with standard relays in a winch. Warn...

Here's a video supplement for installation of the Hinge Tamers. It's not really professional but I think it may help!

What do you think of the lighted USB outlet after dark? I opted for a blue sea USB in mine because I figured the light may distract us while we're trying to sleep and take some of our night vision away. The volt meter would be great for my OCD though.........
