COLORADO CAMPER VAN LLC-**Do business at your own risk**

ALWAYS 3 sides to every story. I wasn't a bit surprised by the lynch mob mentality displayed by some, even that by those who don't own and have never owned the product in question. Seen this many times on enthusiast sites. Did seem to be an unusual amount of this though. [/IMG]

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Back on the road! Oh, and no joy on the leftover Raptor Liner. Even with the thinner in it and sealed up in the bottles it set up like Jello. I've got 1 litre extra that i haven't tapped into yet, so push comes to shove I can mix up some of that to use, or I can continue with my current...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Come to think of it I've got 6 empty-ish bottles of that Raptor liner that had some leftover in the bottom, but not enough for the tube on the shutz gun to suck out. I poured in just a bit of thinner and gave them all a shake to clean off the sides. Part of the process was adding hardener to...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Actually had to work today so not much progress to show. I got the rest of the tape pulled (I bought it at an automotive paint supply) and it was still a bugger, except for anything stainless steel. No problem pulling off that. A bit snug but not too bad. Anything else it was stuck to it was...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Didn't worry about the jams. I would have had to seal off every compartment to keep from over spraying the inside, and while it may have been the amateur thing to do, I was up to my eyeballs with taping.

I'd just about trade my wife and my least favorite kid for one of those!

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

The de-tapifying, reassemblification process has commencetuded! Should be able to show some decent pics by Friday, keeping in mind I still need to do the bottom blackout. Haven't quite made up my mind how I'm going to do that so I'm taking a pass for the moment. Btw, that blue painters tape...

    New to the Van idea

Something to consider when looking at mileage. Folks will try to sell you on "it's a 7.3 and at 275,000 miles it's just getting broke in"! May be, but everything else on the van/truck has 275,000 miles as well, and not just the major things people think of like engine and transmission...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

Got all the base color on today. Sweet baby jesus there's a lot of real estate to spray, and in the end I didn't quite get what I wanted. I couldn't quite get the texture where I wanted it, but it's probably my fault. I wanted a smoother texture and according to the instructions you should up...

Couple questions on 10m - license, equipment

I had an fm unit and in the years I owned it never heard a single peep.

    AmboLander

Mine was right around that as well as I recall. Last I weighed it she was hovering around the 10.5 mark. Not really surprised though. Added a heavy axle, a transfer case, swapped an aluminum driveshaft for steel and added one more, a set of 4 tires/rims that weigh around 350-400 lbs more than...

    Adams Recreation Outdoor Trailer

Welcome to the American RV world. They couldn't be more poorly constructed if they said "Made in China" and were sold at Harbor Freight.

Hey it gets the gears turning so thanks! On the tattoo thing. I don't know how many times she's seen someone's tattoo and chuckled about it, telling me later what it really says. Most of the time it's similar to English in that you can have two words that are pronounced the same but spelled...

Belafonte Reboot....Ambulance to 4x4 Camper Conversion

This will be the basic paint scheme and the base color here is similar to what I bought. Not going for bright this time around, but not a flat color either. I have just about -zero- color sense so I haven't a clue what would be good accent colors, which is why the black, because I do know that...

    AmboLander

Where's this from? I don't care all that much about a snorkel, but I'd like to get my air filter out from where it is, and I'm not sure there's room to stuff it above the spot where the batteries would normally be. Figured I might have to end up with an external filter somehow.

    2005 F-450 4x4 Utility Body w/ Starcraft Pine Mountain Lonestar Pop-top Camper

That is a nice looking setup. It appears from your posts that you bought that as a package. Where in the heck did you find a setup like that, already put together? Looks like it came from a dealer of some sort, which around here at least would be really unusual.

Who exactly are these folks Chris, for the people maybe looking for a clean van to sink stupid amounts of money into. :D STILL kicking around the idea of unloading the Ambo and going with the more compact standard E-series. You know, so I can do this Alll over again.
