    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

That is a thing of beauty. I had a disagreement with a concrete wall this weekend and I'm searching for new bumper options.. I presently have a flattened Warn trans4mer embedded in mine.

Camp lighting? 12v or mains via inverter?

Those put out decent light, but you have to be careful with the bracket mounting holes. They strip easy and the can snap right off if you over tighten.

    Camper Heat

These altitude stories initially scared me off from the buddy heater. But, I've been using it without issue here in Colorado and I love that heater. I typically use it at about 7,000 feet.

Camp lighting? 12v or mains via inverter?

I picked up a couple of these cheap USB bulbs on Amazon. I don't know about durability yet, but they were only 5 bucks a piece. I like them better than my goal zero lights and they have a clean looking light. I run them off a USB battery pack. http://amzn.com/B00MXRT9NW

    Toyota Custom Cab

I'd love to see a build done on this one.

    Flippac build-out

Great idea on that awning mounting. I wanted to do something like that for lighting myself. I have that same set of lights though and they filled with condensation after some rain. Still work fine though.

    seanpistol's 01 Tundra

The door is just barely large enough for a cut out. I got it close then used a file to clean it up. Installed at an angle to allow clearance for wiring in back. I mounted it on the inside using a small drill bit and some safety wire. The door functions fine and allows easy access to the...

    seanpistol's 01 Tundra

I'm presently trying to make this setup work. So far, I have the switches and panel installed but if you put a spade connector on there's not enough clearance to close the door. There's also not much for room above the panel in the headliner so I'm not yet sure how to make this work. I...

    seanpistol's 01 Tundra

I really like that fist one. I have that setup myself, but I installed it by removing the sunglass holder and mounting it inside. I didn't think there was enough clearance with the wiring.

    seanpistol's 01 Tundra

Wow, I'd been wanting that camper shell setup forever. Fortunately, I did recently piece one together locally for cheap but the condition leaves a bit to be desired. Nice score on the locker though.

2012 Stealth Fighter 3kW lightweight bike

I'm fascinated by these options. I was an avid mountain biker for years, but I've got so many issues these days that I can't even put on a backpack. I miss being able to get off the beaten path in a more silent, stealthy manner. Certainly interested in seeing more of this. Looks like a nice score.

My truck is nearly your twin. I just have a bit less blackout done. Where'd you nab those side moldings? I did some generic stuff that I'm starting not to like so much. I just went with some BFG's in 235/85/16. So far, I love the look and ride.

FS: Black Pine Turbo Tent 4-Person Deluxe - Santa Monica - $400

Aw man, that is a steal for this tent. I have the larger version and love it, but it's a beast. If mine didn't already take up so much space I'd really want this smaller one.

Cellular voice and data coverage in the western USA

Off the track in Utah or Colorado area ATT is useless. Anytime I've seen someone using a phone in a remote location they've had Verizon. I've been out with friends or family and joked about how nice it is to be away from phones and internet in the middle of nowhere and then their phone rings. I...

    Truck Canopy Seal

I used that previously. It's really thick when first installed and you'll have to re-tighten the bolts several times as it compresses but I didn't have any issue with it. I swapped out my canopy recently and that seal was flat as paper. It returned to normal after a couple days, but I have to...

Extreme Outback Ultimate Overland Recovery Shovel

This has been my go to shovel for a couple years now. It sees most use cleaning up fire pits.. http://amzn.com/B005Q7CROE This looks like a good option as well. http://amzn.com/B009WS7F22 For an attempt at looking cool while freeing your vehicle from a snowbank at the local mall I...

Designing a new sleep system need some feedback

Interesting concept here. I like the initial idea and as someone that's made those privacy walls while deployed (and been ************** at about it several times) I can attest to the usefulness of such an application. It would at the very least need some serious ventilation and I know I would like a...

What recovery tools would you never go without?

I keep a basic set of tools in the sizes needed for my vehicle. A "recovery box" containing a multimeter, jumper cables, multi-tool, straps, snatch block, gloves, rope, tire repair kit, extra first aid kit. I also keep an air compressor, a humvee jack because I like the base and it's one compact...
