Trouble searching.... DC to DC charger for larger battery banks

It is my understanding that it is the best approach to maintaining different battery banks using only DC power.

Trouble searching.... DC to DC charger for larger battery banks

Did you mean highest input? I have a 190a alternator that puts out full amperage at idle if necessary.

Trouble searching.... DC to DC charger for larger battery banks

I guess I'm not good at google. I did look at the 40a Redard and it said it's for up to 200ah banks. I will have 425ah house batteries with solar. I wonder why they rate them at 200ah if they can work on much more than that. I also don't know enough to know why the battery bank size would...

Trouble searching.... DC to DC charger for larger battery banks

Looking at different chargers and it seems that most are limited to 200amp/hr battery banks. What is everyone using for larger battery banks? Are you using two or more chargers?

Bring me the money and I'll get started.

NPR 4wd conversion and camper build thread.

Well.... I have redone nearly everything that they did previously but undoing their work hasn't been too big of a deal. Mostly just cut off and start over or salvage pieces here and there. Most of what they did was mockup work so most of the welds were tack welds or incomplete. It was definitely...

    What Happened to Rebel-Zilla?

Well when the shocks and bump stops alone on that truck are probably around $25k, it adds up quick. $100k is still alot!!

    What Happened to Rebel-Zilla?

Your setup is very nice for sure and I agree that $100k is alot but the suspension on Rebelzilla is way beyond what I've seen on any cabover anywhere. Plus it is hours and hours of custom fabrication work. What they built was not a bolt on setup by any means.

    Air drag calculator site?

You can do your own tests using a coast down method. I haven't done it but it's basically running up to a certain speed on flat ground in the same conditions to see measure how long it takes to coast to a stop. Make your mods and try again. There is some math involved as well and you can figure...

A shocking Rancho report and plea for other shocks (Sachs?)

My other thought is using 2 Rancho's per corner if necessary. In terms of shaft size and body diameter, the rancho's aren't different than other shocks found on these trucks. Perhaps the failures are ultimately a quality issue. They are very low cost for what they are.

    What Happened to Rebel-Zilla?

As awesome as that truck is, I doubt there is much market for one of those with suspension like that.

    Flat Bed question

I would start by contacting a test station and ask for guidelines.

    What Happened to Rebel-Zilla?

I could see suspension like that about doubling the cost of an npr or fuso. I’ve wondered about what happened to it also

A shocking Rancho report and plea for other shocks (Sachs?)

The RS9000s I bought weren't for a specific vehicle, they were just listed as a certain length. I have only driven up and down the road a bit so far so I can't really judge how well they work. Similar sized Kings were $600+ each. We'll see.

NPR 4wd conversion and camper build thread.

I finally drove it the other day. First drive went well. I just drove up and down the block a few times but this thing is actually pretty quick as is. The front end seems a bit soft as I suspected. I'll be looking in to adding a leaf to the spring pack. Before I drive it again I am going to...

Telescoping tube/assembly for raising and lowering awning

I don't see those cabelas poles working for this. You might consider a jack for a popup camper roof instead..
