Well when the shocks and bump stops alone on that truck are probably around $25k, it adds up quick. $100k is still alot!!

Your setup is very nice for sure and I agree that $100k is alot but the suspension on Rebelzilla is way beyond what I've seen on any cabover anywhere. Plus it is hours and hours of custom fabrication work. What they built was not a bolt on setup by any means.

You can do your own tests using a coast down method. I haven't done it but it's basically running up to a certain speed on flat ground in the same conditions to see measure how long it takes to coast to a stop. Make your mods and try again. There is some math involved as well and you can figure...

My other thought is using 2 Rancho's per corner if necessary. In terms of shaft size and body diameter, the rancho's aren't different than other shocks found on these trucks. Perhaps the failures are ultimately a quality issue. They are very low cost for what they are.

As awesome as that truck is, I doubt there is much market for one of those with suspension like that.

I would start by contacting a test station and ask for guidelines.

The RS9000s I bought weren't for a specific vehicle, they were just listed as a certain length. I have only driven up and down the road a bit so far so I can't really judge how well they work. Similar sized Kings were $600+ each. We'll see.
