    My dog wants a canoe

I don't know anything about canoes or kayaks, but here are some pics of a friends German Sheppard a couple weeks ago. She loves to ride on the kayak. She was a little upset that she got kicked off, but she got over it. :)

Fish! It's that time of the year again.

If they are a decent size, and I want a picture, I remove them from the water for all of about 5-10 seconds. I leave them in the water until I'm ready for the pic. When I put them back, they are held facing upstream for 5-10 seconds before being released. I would say about 1 out of 10 actually...

Fish! It's that time of the year again.

I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you. :p But seriously, that particular creek is my absolute favorite fishing hole in the state. Not only because of the outstanding fishing, but also because you won't see another human there all weekend. I do most of my fishing on the reservations. Get...

Fish! It's that time of the year again.

First trip up to the White Mountains this year. Our first trip out is generally the last weekend of March or the first weekend of April, and it's normally perfect. However, this year we had a very good winter, so there is tons of runoff. This particular creek is about twice it's normal size and...

Phoenix: Dependable shop for control arm bushings

Toyota of Dallas is usually cheaper than the dealerships here, but that is quite a bit cheaper. That is for the entire arm. which I was quoted $215 for here. I ended up getting an entire bushing kit from Daystar for $80. I'm fairly mechanical, but my main problem is lack of tools and place to...

Phoenix: Dependable shop for control arm bushings

Yup, first place I went. He said he could only find bushings for a Tundra/Sequioa, but he called the company and they said it would work on a Tacoma. So he ordered them and they were supposed to be there in a couple days. He was going to check them out when they got there to make sure they would...

Phoenix: Dependable shop for control arm bushings

Looking for a good shop to swap out my passenger side lower control arm bushings. The dealership wants 4 hours of labor ($385), which I think is rediculous. 4 Wheelers on Washington will do it for $200, but I can't get in for a week or two. I'm hoping to get it done this week. Any suggestions?

    Old jerry can tarnished inside

I've got an old jerry can that has been sitting in my shed for a long time. The inside is pretty tarnished and looks like the metal has been eaten away a little or even rusted a bit. Is it safe to put gas from this thing in my truck?

Southern Arizona: Ruby Rd. March 8-9, 2008

If you don't know it's there, you'll drive right by it. It's about 5 miles south of Arivaca on Ruby road. There is a turn with a street sign for Arivaca Lake Rd. Then it's about another 3 miles east.
