05+ Tacoma: Known Issue - Failed Supports for Composite Box

What exactly does this "metal yoke" look like? I'm assuming it's a part between the bed and the frame?

Do the current gen Hilux models have the composite bed?

Sounds like Toyota needs to move their NA vehicle engineering department back to Japan ..or import the vehicles that are available elsewhere into the US, I sure wouldn't complain :victory:

Our D4D Hilux 2008 model here has a steel bed

The composite bed has it's advantages and disadvantages. No rust is a major advantage. However, I don't think this problem has anything to do with the bed, but the metal yoke that the tailgate attaches to. It's probably just too thin. I'm not sure if I have this problem, I'll have to check. I've seen older Tacos with the bed sides spreading as well, so the problem isn't limited to this generation of trucks.
