Mine just showed up the other day.

Havent had a chance to play with it much, however i will say that it was effectively charging my 12v battery with overcast skies late into the afternoon.

Volts on the battery went from 12.1 to almost 12.3 in less than 30 mins in those conditions - not bad! Cant wait to see how it does on a sunny day

Thanks for posting this thread

Nice Dan.

Max, I will have to look closer on mine to see if there is a battery selection switch or not.

Still waiting to hear back from them on why the page was taken down for mine, but I bet you right, it is sold out.

Most likely sold out, that seems to be how Solar Blvd works, set amount, great price, but when the are gone they are gone.

Reply from at Solarblvd about the controller

If you feel safer using the morningstar controller, you can do that - the one that came with it is working just fine with other customers

I received two emails this morning from Shawn at Solar Blvd:
On why the 100 watt page was down...
Hi Corey,

We are out of stock on them and should have them in around Nov 25th again. Thanks!
And on the question whether the charge controller can handle an AGM battery or not...
Hi Corey,

Yes, the controller will work just fine. Thanks!

I would go for the 120 watt one if I was wanting one now since the 100s are out.

Is it just me, but I thought they said solar prices were starting to drop- but I think this is not the case, Im starting to see solar prices on the rise? Not just with this company, but just in general.. all solar items are going up in price.

Solar prices did drop a ton. Since many solar companies have gone out of business and the chinese are accused of dumping below cost solar I suspect we've hit bottom, at least for now.

Here is an alternative to glass panels, albeit more expensive, but has features which are advantageous in the bush or over-landing: the Flexopower Outback Desert Series (83W, 166W & 249W kit). Flexible, light weight and produces more DC power in a day than comparable glass panels. The panel itself is virtually unbreakable and continues to produce when punctured. http://www.flexopower.com/man-portable-solar-systems/4x4-solar-solutions/kalahari-166-4x4-kit. -

Is there a supplier in the US for these?

As I type this from my Droid Bionic since the power went out an hour or so ago, my new solar panel is setup in the spare bedroom keeping my ArkPak topped off.

No sun out, but charge controllers green LED was lit up, and when I hooked the clips to the Ark, two more red LEDs lit up.

May be running a string of Goal Zero LED lanterns after dark if the power has not come back on.

Perhaps a dumb question... Can the onboard charge controller be bypassed (easily) on these panels? Can I assume I just bypass the controller, run the panels in parallel (connect the four output wires to a single pair) and then run a single set of wires to my charge controller?

Yes. Its connected to the charge controller with simple spade lugs. Unlike others my connections were nice and tight.

Im entirely new to this but I have a question.. If for some reason I manage to run the battery down on my Rubicon on a camping trip on a sunny day, in theory I can hook one of these panels up to the battery and let it charge back up. How long would that take? Can you run accessories at the same time that its "charging"? We like to listen to the radio and charge our phones and stuff while we're hanging out. Would this system slow down the discharging on the battery at the same time?
