IT'S IN THE PAINT BOTH

Well the frame and all fabrications to it are completed. I added right angles to extend out behind the wheels for mud flaps.

It's now at the body shop being prepped for paint.

Looks good, I would not say it is going slow. Now my build or lack thereof is slow. I think just over two years of owning and not doing much of my plans is slow. At least I finally got to pull it with a box and load in it in November when moving. I still have so many things I want to do and need to do to actually transform from utility to expo. I think you will be very happy with the extended length of the tongue and having a receiver hitch. I will recommend the MAX coupler since it just works so much better than a pintle and makes a good positive connection. Keep up the good work, I will have to continue living vicariously through yours and others builds of these trailers for now as economy and unemployment continue to hinder any real progress on my build.

I also have a 2012 JK Crush. Building my trailer now. What length was your axle? I am using XD Misfit wheels with 35x12.5x17 Pro Comp Xtreme A/T. I ordered my 3500 lb axle at 64" but did not order it to accomodate spacers.

Double check the Position of the Mudflap hangers.
I run a 32" tire and mine are close a 35" tire might hit.

I measured the width of the rear axle of my JK and then subtracted 6" to accommodate the 3" spacers on both sides. The spacers cover the axle hub and allowed my AEV Pintler Hubcentric wheels, to be mounted properly. The end result should be that the trailer axle, spacers, and wheels setup is the same width as my JK rear axle and wheels. I'll get you the exact measurement when I get my axle back from the body shop paint booth.

Post a pic of your JK crush. I'd like to see how you have your set up.

My plan is to mount diamond plate to the right angle. The diamond plate will be bent toward the rear of the frame allowing room for the tires. I'm going to mount rubber from the diamond plate to hang down for full coverage.

THE FRAME IS PAINTED & READY TO BE REASSEMBLED

All components have been painted and are now protected from the elements. Premium Collision, in Bethel Park, did an awesome job with the prep, prime, and paint. They were the only body shop that was willing to take my project under the parameters I required and for a deal! I searched the south hills of Pittsburgh for the best for my business and found it with Premium Collision. I'll be picking it up tomorrow and begin the rebuild.

The electric will be next.....

Good thing you got the work set up early. I am sure with all of the terrible YINZER drivers wrecking on the ice this winter
the body shop has plenty busy now.

I would have liked to have been there when you explained you were building an expo trailer.

The frame and paintwook look good. Post more as you assemble it.

REBUILD ROADBLOCK

The suspension came together without issue. But the "A" frame of the tongue was do tight that we are going to have to use 2 come-alongs to pull the ends apart maybe a 1/4" to allow the bolt holes to line up properly.

But it feels good to begin the rebuild and even better seeing the new tries, wheels, and axel on!
