I haven’t checked in for a while, and man, things are looking good! Did you see Jeeps “Impact Orange”? I had an ‘05 TJ Rubicon in that color. In my opinion it’s a nicer color than the more recent one. Probably too late for you to consider it though.

I didn't know there were two oranges. I see the impact orange is a bit more subdued. Would have been a good option but yes a bit late. Thanks anyway.

Sorry I didn’t see your color choice sooner Luis. I really liked that color on my TJ. The one you chose is nice to, but it is definitely a bit louder. Thats not really a bad thing for a toy though.

Well it's been a long hiatus without any work on this, but back at it now. The engine had to be lowered as it was hitting the underside of the hood. So I designed and fabricated new reverse motor mounts. They worked perfectly. Need to play with the cooling system outlets and maybe offset the steering gear box slightly. Will see. I tried to install the VSS adaptor from Jags that Run and found the mating flange hole alignment was wrong. I designed a new one and am having it manufactured. New engine mounts below. After lowing the motor ran into a problem with the manifold now interfering with steering shaft so the solution was to move the engine to dead center from the original 1" driverside offset. We were never clear the reason that Stoffregen Motors offset the motor on the build they documented. One never wants the drive shaft to be dead center but I think it will still be offset with engine in the center. The other issue with lowering the motor is that it now has only a 1-2% rake. The standard rake is 6% but am thinking this should also not be a problem.

Bought a new clutch master cylinder. and mounted the rock sliders as the brackets need to go in before starting to run the brake and fuel lines.

Nice build.
If you plan on making this a road trip machine , be sure to keep a detailed parts list with parts numbers. Parts like hoses , belts filters anything that could need replacing on the road.

Since it is hybrid vehicle , going to a parts store will be fruitless unless you have a part number. You will never get the right parts with a year, make and model.
