1999 Land Rover Discovery 2
SOLD Price $9500 (Yes there is wiggle room here because no one ever gets what they are asking)
I have owned this D2 for almost two years now and have enjoyed every moment. This is a weekend fun vehicle for me as I have a company car to use throughout the week. I absolutely love this truck but due to financial reasons I cannot justify keeping it at this time in my life. I will try my best to list main modifications and repairs here but also have a spreadsheet that I will share. Can also provide CarFax as well.
Purchased it from a very OCD enthusiast in Atlanta who purchased it from his neighbor. They both garage kept the vehicle and kept it well maintained. The individual I purchased it from bought it bone stock and did most of the modifications/upgrades. All windows and door locks work properly. The Sunroofs are sealed and are not operational at this time (no leaks though). During my ownership, I replaced the front driveshaft with a HD Tom Woods as a preventative item as well as added the Ultra Gauge to monitor engine temps. The AC and heat work great, but this model does not have rear AC. Heated seats and windshield work great. The truck drives and runs great.
I have seen temps as high as 217 but it typically is in low 200s around town then drops to 190s at higher speeds. I have a 180 TD5 thermostat but never saw the need to install it. If time allows, I will install the TD5 thermostat this week.
