I wouldn't go with headers. I'm not doing so in swapping a TPI into my FJ60. I'm currently planning to use 2.25" 'Rams Horns.' Iron manifolds seal better and stay sealed longed than any header I've ever been around.

No not yet, I'm not convinced that the shorty style header gains you that much over the stock manifold, and I'm not sure i want long tube headers. If i ever need to buy new manifold then I might get some shorties to replace them, most bolt right in place of the stock manifold so i wouldn't need to modify the downpipes.

I plan on a complete new performance manifold back. 2 1/4 into 2 1/2 into a flowmaster Y pipe, 3" into a CC, and then a 3" in/out magnaflow RV type muffler.

Well, the burb started for the 1st time today, and with a really big BANG!!! So load that all the neighbors came running out of their houses, Funny stuff! I was worried at first. Because I took a lot of time and was careful to make sure the Distributer was set up right. It ended up being the 8 and 6 plug wires were crossed. I was cranking the motor to get oil pressure without the coil wire hooked up before I tried to starting it. As soon as I hooked up the coil and hit the key she went bang. 6 and 8 are real close in the fire order and I think one of them was full of fuel so when I hit the key she blow. So I swapped the plug wires and she started right up, I ran her just long enough to get to 2000 rpm and 30psi oil and shut her off (maybe 3 sec), I’m going to wait tell Saturday when my buddy can come over and help me break in the cam. I also pulled the exhaust manifolds off to fix a bad leak.

Started, and broke in the cam, drove up and down the street a few times. With the muffler blown out the was hard to gauge the power. Now I need to change the oil, set the timing, fix the muffler and start putting some miles on her

RPMs seems crisper, the check engine light blinks on everonce in awhile. I'll know more after the muffler is fixed
