2003 Land Rover Discovery II W/ CDL
Located Fort Worth, TX
172,000 indicated miles
Larger tires installed 2013 so the “real” mileage is probably closer to 178,000 (embarking on final 7 day trip this weekend so mileage may slightly change)
I will take some better pictures when I'm back and it's cleaned up.
$9,500 WITHOUT the Roof Top Tent

Back Story: I bought this car as the second owner with ~46,000 miles from a local dealer in 2008. It was actually owned by an acquaintance from new as a typical dealer serviced “mall crawler”. I used the vehicle as a daily driver for approximately 5 years maintaining it at 2 local independent shops. At the end of 2013 I stopped using the car for daily driving and began modifying the vehicle for off-road and camping trips with friends and family. Over the last 5 years I have driven the car less and less as my family has grown and hobbies changed. This truck has been based in Fort Worth, TX it’s entire life so there are not any rust issues. The headliner was replaced in 2010 so it is in good condition with no sagging. Both sunroofs worked the last time I used them (~3yrs) and are leak free in their closed position (my preferred setting) Tires are 265/75/16 E range Treadwright Guard Dogs with about 30,000 miles on them, I have rotated in the spare so they are all about even. These tires have been great and I would recommend them for anyone wanting tires they “don’t have to baby” That being said, I have never even had puncture of any sort. Having owned this car and done much of the work myself I probably have an answer to whatever question you are thinking of, just let me know. I have lots of maintenance records. The interior is in decent shape, the exterior paint is ok. I have kept it under a cover for the last 4 years but the Texas sun is harsh so it's showing a little wear. Overall this truck is ready to hit the trails.

PS: I will be on a family trip in Central Colorado the week of August 19 and would be happy to meet up if you are interested in taking a look.

First off, the bad:
Drivers power seat does not work, but it stopped in a convenient spot for me so I haven’t worried about it. The seat heater also malfunctioned and burned a quarter sized hole on the driver side so I have both disconnected. other than that they show normal wear.
The washer fluid reservoir leaks when it is topped off
The E-brake boot is worn out, but that’s an easy fix.
The plastic trim piece outside below the windshield is cracked like everyone else’s.
I would say that it uses an average amount of oil for her age/type.
There is a rattle when sitting for extended periods holding the brake while in Drive. I will get this looked at when I return from my trip.

Items shown in pics but NOT included:
CVT roof top tent NOT included.
Hi-Lift Jack will NOT be included, but the bumper mount can stay.

Maintenance/Mechanical Items:
Yes it is in the VIN range, and no it hasn’t had the engine replaced nor has it had any issues. This being said, I replaced the oil pump innards in 2010 just to feel better.

Head Gaskets Replaced 2012

I do have a few spare parts that will be included but I don’t really think they will “move the needle” so I am not going to list them.

Bump for a new week. Just completed a trip to Colorado, Pearl Pass was incredible and the truck did great. Now 172,500 miles on the truck and running strong. I am going to get a few squawks fixed and get her cleaned up. Any interested buyers out there?
