:26_7_2: Nice, the installation looks very clean! Where did you install the trans oil temp sensor?

the 05 Tacoma's have a trans temp sensor for the computer so I will tap into that. It located just after the oil cooler lines. Oil pressure will be run off the oil pressure send unit on the truck by the oil filer and boost will be run from the vacuum line off the changer :)

That's pretty neat, tap into the OEM sensor. Which gauge model are you using? I'll just follow your lead and save me the time to dig out which gauge to use. :ylsmoke:

I'm using auto meter ES series gauges. Don't go out an buy gauges until I know everything works out fine:) everything should be done by this weekend.

Is the voltage range the trans temp gauge requires the same as the OE sensor? I think the OE sensor operates on 0-5V scale.

I bought a sensor with my gauge and used that (ISSPRO) in line.

Boost gauge doesn't not go in the vacuum line in the side of the supercharger, it goes in the back behind the 2 cooler lines on top of the charger. I've attached a picture with a circle around the area for the boost gauge.

Sorry guys if I steered you wrong, but this is a learning curve for me too.

As for Trans Temp & Oil Pressure those are going to the dealer to be hooked up this weekend.

Here are a few pictures from the weekend out at the Alberta safari park. Check out the killer Landcrusier FJ40, powered by a 350 ramjet Chevy riding on 44 inch boggers, also has a custom build aluminum tub.

yes thats my blue Tacoma up to the doors in good ol Canadian muck. the guy standing beside my truck it 6'1, just to give a little perspective.

Enjoy

thanks :) the Jeep guys are a good bunch, lots of fun to go wheeling with. there isn't anything that FJ didn't go through without much problem at all.
