no worries! I know when I had the DT put on I had the shop put the biggest magnaflow on they had, now my truck has just a nice little growl to it.

I have the Borla muffler now, but may go with a magnaflow or the extra resinator...My boy likes it, but I don't think my one year old could even get to sleep. Seems to be loudest at cruising speed.

yup same with me, I had a borla before, and when I switch to the 14" magna flow everything was much better.

Some of you have been asking about the new King Coils I will have on my truck.

Well after breaking that first Icon Coil, I started to look around at finding a little bit heavier spring to help deal with the ARB and winch extra weight. I knew that King http://www.kingshocks.com/ made all sorts of coils and started looking through there online catalog and found a 3"x14"x700lbs rate spring on there site which fits a 2.5" coil-over which the Icons are.

I knew they would fit just by the length after doing a rough measure on the Icons on the truck now. When I do the spring change I'm also going to make my Icons into extended coil-overs ( an extra inch of down travel is nice!) slow the rebound a bit and also go to a different weight oil to help with controlling the new springs. I talked with Kevin at HRT Off-road http://www.highrollerztrux.com/ and he sourced them out for me from the King dealer he deals with and voila! New springs arrived 3 weeks later at his shop.

I will be doing the install on the April 25 26 weekend. I hope all goes well and I will have a full update and build on my thread for all you guys to look at!

Look forward to the write up and what you think of them.

Looking forward to your reactions on the king springs.....I was thinking about this awhile ago but didn't worry much about it since i still had the factory bumper....not anymore so perfect timing. Also, before you pull your Icon's. Can you measure how much thread you have showing on each side... And your estimation of how much lift you have? I have 1 7/8" on the passenger side and 2 1/4 on the drivers and the passenger still seems a bit tall, but the drivers doesn't want to budge so I keep lowering the passenger instead of raising the drivers....I think I need to call Jeremy....

I was looking into the spring swap before my old taco went rubber side up. Now that the bumper/winch/skids are on the new truck and my front suspension is actually lowered at 1" of preload I'll be back in the market soon enough. Don't worry preload will be adjusted when UCAs go on but with more fab work on deck it's only getting heavier.

In short, one more waiting on the write-up:coffee:

Measurements are 2"5/8 on the passenger side and 3" on driver side. and getting about 2 to 2"1/4 of lift. I'm hoping the new springs will sit nice at 2" and get 3" of lift with that.

I hope. :cool:

I'm not very impressed with these new springs that I got from Icon when I broke my passenger one a year ago.

Well here is is guys. The Kings fit and work very well. I got inch in height and having the Icons now extended coils I will have more down travel too. I will be driving home tomorrow and will let you know how the truck drives home. I'm looking forward to wheeling them for the first time to see how they really handle. setting from the bottom to the top of the collar is 1"1/2, not 3" like it used to be.

I would recommend this to anybody how has a bumper and winch on the front of the truck! The con spring are just not up to the tasks.

:smiley_drive::wings::wings::wings:

here are the pictures.

Its snowing really bad here right now so I will upload some better pictures of the truck sitting at stance.

Pictures to follow soon!
