2019 Ford Ranger Taking Orders

I saw one at the auto show here.
I'm 6'4" and getting into would be challenging at best. These micro beds out there defy logic for me.
I don't know, the bed in my F-150 is 5'5". I use the bed quite often for hauling a variety of stuff and it seems to be enough. I don't think I'd want a super crew with the 6'5" bed. It would be a pain to park. That and if I'm going crew cab 6'5" box, I might as well get a 3/4 ton.

I consider those little beds an open air trunk, if you treat it like a SUV, would fine. If I had one it would haul mainly moto gear bags and camping gear. Occasional flat of veggies or flowers for our gardens. :D Weekend warrior ********... ;)
If I'm correct, aren't access cab beds 6'? That's only 5" longer than the 'little' beds, lol....

The only thing my truck hauls around lately is my set of summer tires and car parts I'm trying to sell on CL. Unless your a contractor or a landscaper aren't we all weekend warriors?

Threw my summer tires back on yesterday. :)

Yeah, I haven't need a "real" work truck in over 26 years. Wouldn't mind an 8' bed and a Callen though! :D

Maybe I should grow a mustache...

Yeah they are all pretty much worthless. I couldn't get my XC skis cross-ways in a 5' bed though, they barely fit in my 6'.

Of course even 8' beds were useless when we had our swimming pool biz. Never used pickups, just dumps and box vans. All this pissing and moaning over bedsize....is well ya know. ;) Different tools for different jobs. What works for one guy won't work for the next.

Buddha.

Finally in expo white.
I need to swap my tires, it's been over the rated 45F during the day but with my 12 hours shifts I've managed to not be on the road at those times.
Here's something you don't hear people talk about when they compare midsize full size and HD trucks, weight. My stock size wheel tire combo are over 100# each, I'll have to do some yoga moves to loosen up my back before I do routine maintenance!

So nice to get those winter studs back off, noisy sum-na-bitches! Think I am going to do studless next season.

Yeah I was thinking that, glad I don't have a 3/4-1 ton truck tossing my summer treads back on. At least I got smart enough and bought an impact wrench, used to do it by hand.

I bought my F350 out of SD. It belonged to heavy equipment servicing outfit and when I got it home thought I ought to rotate the tires as things seemed to be wandering a bit. I spent an hour trying to get one wheel/tire off and couldn't budge it. Drove over to Discount Tire and watched them fight with the same one for about 15 minutes until they lifted it up and took a rubber sledge hammer to it. It still took them at least 15 minutes per wheel even with that. Best $30 I've spent on the truck. Just glad I don't live year round someplace they use salt slurry on the roads.

In a pinch loosen all of the lugs plenty except for two, set those barely loose, then drive forward steering back and forth to break them loose. But I keep a plastic dead blow hammer under the back seat.

In the city, loosen the lugs, then run over a parked Prius.

When I had to do the brakes on my father in laws '84 plow truck I had a hell of a time. I had to heat the lug nuts red hot to loosen them and then it was about 10min per tire with a sledge hammer to loosen them up.

I drove by my local Ford dealer (Tasca) and they had a new Ranger out front. Looks like they're arriving at the dealers.

I don't disagree, that same thinking is how I ended up with an F150 instead of a Tacoma. The F150 ended up costing less...lol.

My bad, I thought, that you thought, that I thought... ha ha!

Yeah, mid sizes don't make financial sense. Buy a half ton the same or cheaper.

At $35K and under, a lot choices too, RC, SC, CC...4 different engine options...

I have yet to need anything longer than a 5.5' bed for about a decade and a half.

I prefer my 8' long trailer for hauling stuff than a pickup bed. So much easier to load/unload.

Couple years ago we bought a new washer from Lowes, just happened to be on Black Friday of all days, the guy loading things was relieved when I pulled up front with my trailer, he was like, man...I have been loading stuff in jacked up trucks all day long. Pleasure to see your trailer. I says to him after we are done, practically loaded itself, eh!? Yep!
