Thank you:sombrero: They are smooth enough for a E rated tire and quiet. I have had them out in some very muddy trails during a rain storm and they performed great, even on steep inclines/declines. They self clean very well.

I will be going out to the Mojave Desert next weekend for a test out in the sand and rocks. I expect them to do very well. Oh, and for what it is worth, I do not air down unless I am going on loose sand, but given the strength and thickness of the sidewalls, I do not think that these tires would bulge too much. Stay tuned!

I've been running the 255/80/17's for about a month now. So far I like them. they seem to do real well in the one snow run I did. We had heavy rain here for two weeks straight and I never once felt them slip or lose traction. I feel they are much louder then my old BFG MT's.

Glad to hear that they have done well in snow. My old KM's were not so good in snow, and I was expecting these to behave similarly. I agree that the KM2's are good in the rain (which we have been having a lot of here in So Cal recently) Funny how we had the opposite opinion on road noise! Maybe my old KM's were noisy because I had missed a rotation and they wore a little funny. I replaced them at 46K miles when they started chunking and the tread was getting pretty low.
