Expedition Leader
Hi Guys,
Im looking for some advice. I've searched and read a few threads on snow and 2wd vans, and I would like a little more input.
Im looking at building a ski bum mobile, but having a wife daughter and two 100lb dogs i want a little more space than a van can offer. Im trying to replace a 19' trailer that I currently own. My truck doesn't like to tow it, and my wife likes the idea of being able to go into the living space while driving. Im looking at at cut away cube vans, a 14ft box should give me enough room.
Now realistically I will usually be on a road, gravel FS roads at worst, with a couple nights of snowfall. IE slick road/ice underneath with 6-10" of snow of top. In your much more expert van opinions, (never owned or driven an E series in the snow) how would an E series van with a large box, probably dualies, and snow tires do in such a situation?
Love this one, but its a bit small for me.

Im thinking something along the lines of this.

This sort of finished RV popped up on CL locally to me also.
