Loving this thread. I guess we were just a few days apart in our trips, and stayed at many of the same beaches. :victory: I'm still working on my pics and report, but when I get them done I'll email you. That beach at Concepcion, Santispac, was great for kayaking. I actually watched the superbowl in that ittle cantina they have there too. Good times.

Thanks!

Great pics and write up! I'm envious. One word of caution for the diesel guys. Recently I met a marine diesel tech who works southern California and southern Baja marinas doing maintenance and repair work. He's seeing injectors and injector pumps going down in half the time down there do to the introduction of ULSD. An analysis by an independent lab up here detirmined that the fuel is almost devoid of lubricity. Here the lubricity agent is added at the tanker farms but down there...it's not. Simple solution is adding some of your own. Standyne's Lubricity Formula is one and you can do a search for others. Those fish taco photos were overwhelming. You just can't get them here,no matter where. They're wannabees. Good but not like the fresh Baja ones. We used to get 10/dollar in the early 70's.:sombrero:

FYI: There is a hot spring in the mangrove lagoon right behind where you camped at the south side of Sinispac.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us! I am really jonzing to get back to Baja.

I went back there and checked out the hot spring... not a bad little setup. Now the sand flies on the other hand:Wow1:

Great report! Havent been to baja since i was like 12.. this report really makes me want to head back down.. thanks for sharing.

Very cool. Being the inexperienced foreign traveler that I am (besides to all inclusive resorts in Mexico); I would want to make my first trip with someone seemingly more experienced such as yourself.

Did you travel all the way from Durango for this trip?

Super report. It sounds like you two had a great adventure. I would love to get back there. The first time was Jeep only. Would love to do the trip with the Horzion this time.

The first time my future wife when with me to baha she was a little worried since the time before she was shook down by some federales and high-tailed it back to the US. What bought some coconuts from a street vendor and she was trying to crack one on the edge of the sidewalk when I had stopped for some gas. A local approached us a pulled out a long machete and she thought she was goners. Well he proceeded to chop her coconut in a couple of swift moves and offered it back to her with a grin. That about sums it up with regards to the experience we have had down there. True you may meet some shady characters but 99% of them are as nice as can be. It's that way most places. People who are afraid to travel outside of the US lose out on a lot. I went to Hanoi three times and Ho Chi Minh City once and people loved Americans in Vietnam. They even liked George Bush!

Thanks for sharing.
