OMG, this thing better look like a Ferrari when your done, I've never seen such attention to detail on a 30 year old chunk of American steel.

i would have wiped it down with solvent, then put one coat of rattle can on it :)

can wait to see it together thought.

Ok I got it all sanded back down and primed, then didnt like it still so went back and did some more bondo glass and got it primed again and seems fine.

I changed the paint scheme just a little, I went with 1/8" stripe vs 1/4" and did not seperate the A/C controls from the vent.

Takin off the tape.

And stuck one gage in just to get a good look.

Now when I get home today it should be well cured and dry so just need to lightly hit it with some 800 then 1500 grit and shoot the clear. Should have it mounted tomorrow maybe?

Might be the tempature, the kimd of clear, or tje way I am spraying the metalic?? My clear is laquer so gonna get some enamel, then gonna try going very light coats on the metalic, its supposed to be in the 70's the next few days so that might help. Also gonna wait at least 3 days of dry time before I spray the clear......or should I spray the clear right away before it dries good??

CLOSE.......But no cigar!!!!!

Man- You are killing me!

We had a '91 in almost that exact metallic smoke grey color, and later an '88 in a metallic rootbeer brown (originally two-tone brown and tan)...

I am so ready to see this thing put back together!
