Yea I will most likely also. My carpet has quite a few stains. Shortly after I got mine I discovered that the floorboards stay a little moist under the mats in the front. Not entirely sure where it leaks, but I'm a little worried what might be hiding under there.

Check the bottom of the windshield, it can leak and run down the firewall

good looking XJ you've got there. I x3 the montaliner I plan to do mine soon I'm going to do my rockers and bottom of my doors as they have some surface rust starting and the jeep sees a lot of gravel roads and I want it to last a while. Also the monstaliner is hand applied, I researched it and the raptor and although it is a little pricey lots of people have had great results. Nice the new cluster took off 60k. good start and keep it up youll love the XJ

My rear hatch seal and rear glass gasket leaked. It's been good after I replaced them. I did my floor with herculiner, I was very happy with the results. The body shop I used to work for sprayed raptor liner, that stuff was great.

And yes my seatbelts are being held up by fishing string! I couldn't get the seat belt bolts loose. Almost snapped off the torx bolt.

I also changed the front brakes. No pictures. Everyone has seen/done that!

I assume rusted tight. I doubt any of the previous owners pulled the carpet or messed with the bolts. I need an impact I think.

Try some penetrating lube first and then use a Johnson bar ..that might get it out

Thanks! Prepping the Jeep took more time than actually rolling it. I spent about 3 hours sanding down the inside where the rust spots were and painting over them with primer.

After the primer dried I sanded down the whole inside with the buffing pad that was included in the bedliner kit.

My wife and I each got a brush and did all the spots in the jeep where the roller wouldnt reach. That took about an hour or so for the first coat. Next we rolled it which actually went fairly quickly.

We waited 4 hours per the instructions to allow the first coat to dry. Once the time was up we did a second coat.

Ill update the thread here soon as I have a bunch more items Ive done to the jeep.

Tha'ts not too bad. I actually picked up a Herculiner kit for $60 at an Ollies store this weekend, I'll be waiting til spring time to do mine though.
