The factory light work properly. I just want some additional lighting.

Additional lighting for what? You don't say if they are driving lights or fog lights. Two entirely different kinds of lighting used for entirely different purposes.
I'm always amazed at the number of cars I see at night with their fog lights on in clear weather, which makes the drivers actually less safe.

they are driving lights. I have seen them at Walmart, I actually had them mounted on one of my ATVs. The beam pattern is not bad for the cost of them actually.

No I am not kidding and I understand the addiction to lighting is incredible on this site....does the OP travel remote areas where huge amounts of lighting is needed. Has he looked into upgrading the stock Ford bulbs. I upgraded the bulbs in my Grand Cherokee and it is probably the best thing I did.....better than the majority of high dollar aftermarket options. This can be verified by people on this forum. With my upgraded bulbs there is no need for me to be running light bars and extra lights. The upgraded bulbs in high beam overpowers them. Also additional lighting is just another thing that will need maintenance, wiring and will reduce mpg.

I have use them, and I can tell you, you are not overpowering Dedicated long distance lights with those. I thought it was some sort of new technology or something you had.

You would be surprised what those bulbs will do in an OEM housing like the Grand Cherokee. That bulb in the Grand Cherokee in a test we did against some of the latest offerings for the JK blew them out of the water.

I also have an upgraded wiring harness that helps as well.

Again, you are NOT overpowering high power auxiliary lighting with any bulb in the factory housings of any vehicle. that's what I am saying.

Well I had a set of Cibie H1s and I took them off...they were overpowered by the HIR bulbs...and I think we will all agree that Cibie H1s are not bottom of the barrel. I yes there may be other more powerful lights but as I pointed out in my original response the OP should look at better bulbs....because 99% of the time that is sufficient.

Whats the difference between your bulbs and the other HIR bulbs with the big globes on them? I still don't think they will hold a candle so to speak to my 55w HID hellas, but If they are 1/2 as good as you say they may be a great upgrade for my suburban. at 30 bucks...hey....whats to loose.

Amazing difference and like I said this was verified at a light test we did with guys from this forum...including your buddy Hilldweller.... ; )

not sure what the difference is...maybe has to do with filament and reflective material on the inside of the bulb...either way it works and in a big way.
